Yesterday, July 6, the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 233 with a 65-31 vote. HB 233 will now go to the Senate for further consideration.
Under HB 233, if a concealed handgun licensee or qualified military member is discovered carrying a concealed handgun in a place where carrying a concealed firearm is prohibited or restricted, the person is subject to removal from the property, but is not guilty of violating the firearms prohibition. If the person fails to leave upon request or returns with a concealed handgun within thirty days of the violation of the firearms prohibition, the person is guilty of disorderly conduct, classified as a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. A penalty much more fitting to the violation than current law.

Good.

But lets see what happens the first time someone prints in a school.

Kind of strange that this is needed as right now you can only be charged with trespassing if seen carrying concealed (with a permit). You can also already carry concealed in a place that serves alcohol as long as you don't drink.

While companies can keep their employees from carrying inside the buildings they can no longer get ban them from keeping firearms locked in their cars, unless it is a government agency (go figure). That was signed Kasich last year.

Well clearly the government thinks it deserves more protections than ordinary citizens do, because it puts it self above the ordinary citizens, instead of seeing itself as our servant.

When we separated from England and Europe we separated from the business of royalty and royal families with Royal names. But instead our government has turned itself into a kind of social & media royalty. To me this is totally unbecoming of the Public Servants of a Democratic Republic.
