I have spent a lot of time in that area scoop. And fort sanders medical center specifically. That's one of the better hospitals that one could ever have to go to. I also have a friend who is a nurse there. We went to school together from Kindergarten all the way up to graduating high school together.

A man in South St. Louis County, Mo., Defended himself when two armed men attempted to carjack him in the early morning hours of Aug. 30, 2020.

The man was cleaning his car in the stall of a drive-in car wash when two other men approached him armed with handguns. The armed assailants then robbed the man, taking his cell phone. As the robber that took the cell phone began to go through the car, the man began to fight the other assailant. The man then drew his own handgun and shot the first robber once.

With the shot, the second robber jumped out of the car and exchanged fire with the victim before being struck as well. The wounded second robber then fled on foot before being picked up by an accomplice in a getaway vehicle nearby. The accomplice drove the wounded robber to a local hospital, while the 18-year-old first robber was declared dead at the scene when authorities arrived at 1:17 a.m.

The second robber and accomplice were arrested Monday at an apartment where the man's cell phone was found. They apparently planned to steal a car and targeted the man at the car wash. The two are charged with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and vehicle hijacking along with second-degree murder for the death of the first robber. Macomb Daily reports that a customer was using a vacuum when allegedly confronted by two men, at least one of whom was armed.

The customer was also armed and shots were exchanged, leaving one of the robbery suspects deceased.

Deputy Police Chief Mitch Berlin said, “It appears this was a street robbery, we’re unsure if it was a carjacking, and there was an exchange of gunfire. One of the suspects was struck and died at a local hospital.”

The customer was not injured during the exchange of gunfire.

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. - A homeowner in Wesley Chapel shot and killed two of three suspected armed robbers who tried to break into his home early Friday morning, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. A third suspect is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Sheriff Chris Nocco, the homeowner was playing video games alone when he heard glass shatter in the back of his house.

Deputies said the homeowner grabbed a gun and saw the first suspect down a long hallway wearing a dark ski mask and dark clothing and pointing a gun at him.

The homeowner fired and the suspect went down, according to PCSO.

That’s when the victim saw a second suspect down the same hallway pointing a gun at him, so he fired again. At some point, a suspect fired his gun, Nocco said. When the second suspect went down, the victim saw a third suspect down the hallway, so he fired again and the suspect fell.

The victim’s gun jammed at this point, so he went to grab another gun. When he returned to the hallway, he noticed that the third suspect was gone. That’s when he got a phone call from a neighbor who said he was holding the third suspect outside at gunpoint to keep him from getting away.

Deputies arrived shortly before 1 a.m. and said two suspects died at the scene and the third suspect was taken to the hospital where he is expected to survive.

According to Nocco, the homeowner and the suspects had some type of connection and the home invasion was a targeted, isolated incident.

Nocco said the two dead suspects, 21-year-old Luis Casado and 21-year-old Khyle Durham, had violent criminal histories.

He added that the surviving suspect, Jeremiah Trammel, 19, will face second-degree murder charges because he was committing a felony in which two people died. Nocco said Trammel will also face a charge of home invasion robbery.

Nocco said the State Attorney’s Office is investigating.

    Georgia:
One man is in the Whitfield County jail and the sheriff's office is looking for three others following a "strong-arm" robbery of a trucker at the Pilot Travel Center at 243 Connector 3, south of Dalton, Tuesday morning.

The robbery happened "in the back parking lot" of the travel center, according to a press release from Sheriff Scott Chitwood.

A Pilot employee told a reporter it happened around 9 or 9:30 a.m. when the four men approached the truck driver about buying or selling tires. The employee said three of the men tried to hold the man while the fourth grabbed a bag with cash in it.

"The truck driver was strong-armed by four white male assailants," according to the press release. "During the struggle, the victim retrieved a handgun that he had on his person and attempted to counteract the robbery by shooting at one of the assailants. Once the victim commenced shooting, all the assailants dispersed."

One man left in a gold Chrysler Town & Country minivan. The others "fled on foot." The press release said it isn't clear if the men had another vehicle at the site.

Law enforcement issued a "be on the lookout" alert for the minivan. Shortly afterward, according to the press release, an officer with the Georgia Department of Public Safety Motor Carrier Compliance Division spotted the minivan traveling north on I-75 and stopped the driver around mile marker 341, about five miles north of the Rocky Face exit. The driver, Walter Wathen, 52, was arrested without incident. A sheriff's office spokesman said Wathen is from Cincinnati, Ohio.

The sheriff's office is still looking for the other three men, who are described as white males between the ages of 30 and 50. One was dressed in black pants, black shirt and a black hat. A second was dressed in a white shirt and blue jean or khaki shorts. The third was wearing a gray shirt and hat.

The press release said there were no injuries.

This article mentions TWO different multiple assailant cases.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police reported a home invasion Thursday evening that left one intruder dead and another at large after being shot by the homeowner. It comes less than 24 hours after another home invasion in the county.

Police said they responded to the 400 block of Lands End Road around 6:48 p.m. to a report of a shooting. They said two men forced open the front door to the home. One of them was armed with a gun. The homeowner got his gun and exchanged gunfire with the two men.

Police found a man whom they believe to be one of the intruders with gunshot wounds. Jensen Rojas-Marrero died at the scene. A second man fled the house and is still being sought.

A woman inside the home was shot in the leg and was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives were still on the scene Thursday night investigating.

The home invasion comes after a nearly similar incident Wednesday at 507 Snow Hill Road in Fayetteville. The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office reports two men entered a home there. The homeowner exchanged gunfire and killed one of the men. The other man was still at large.

It's probably been that way 40 years.
If you're committing a felony and somebody dies as a result, it's a murder.
It's not Pre-meditated Murder in the First Degree, but it's not excusable in any way.

To clarify what Cadd said, even though the victim was the shooter, the criminal gets the charge of murder (by association).

First-degree murder is if the victim dies and the killer fully intended on killing them. Second-degree is if the victim dies but there was no intent on killing them although it was a possibility. Manslaughter is murder "by accident" where there was no prior malice or intent. The actual laws of what is what vary from state to state.

Here in FL, we have the Castle Doctrine which gives very specific rights to a man to be able to defend his "castle" through any means necessary, including killing people who don't belong there.

There is also the similar Stand Your Ground law here which applies to if you are outside your home and get attacked. What SYG means is you do NOT have an obligation to try to flee from your attacker--you can "stand your ground" and defend yourself by any legal means necessary including a gun. The SYG law has erroneously been used as a defense in murder cases. One example is a man was pushed down to the ground by another for being rude to the pusher's wife. The man on the ground then drew his pistol and shot the man who pushed him dead. The man who pushed him was just standing there, no longer "attacking" and the guy on the ground was charged with manslaughter (I think) even though he claimed a SYG defense.

Not murder-related and more of a PSA is this video clip from a Ring door cam. The house and cars belonged to a helicopter pilot for a neighboring county Sheriff and the Ring alerted his phone and sent the video. The pilot then notified the local Sheriffs who were on the scene in minutes and a chase ensued with perps (underage) bailing from the still moving stolen car  but getting quickly apprehended. Little shits are scared empty by the dogs! The video is on FB HERE but you will need focebaak to view it. :(

The picture of the video shows them running up to cars and checking the door handles, then running on to the next house. There is also a punk at the driver's door of the white car. Meanwhile the stolen car follows along in the street--that is the car with the lights on.

Meanwhile, here in "gun free" England, a Police office was shot and killed in a police station by a suspect brought in on drugs and ammunition charges. Apparently he was seached at the arrest scene, but they didn't find anything, so he was taken to the station.
He was being booked in by the Custody Sgt when the criminal, who was handcuffed, produced a gun, shot the Sgt and then shot himself.
