it's a package deal...
I was just curious about the spec's on it

this is the page i had ordered it from...not much info other than 27 bulb Tracking LED flashlight. Black aircraft aluminum housing. Uses 3 AAA batteries

http://www.knifecountryusa.com/store/pr ... o-set.html

and i'm pretty sure it's this one...

i could be wrong..i'm just looking at both and see the package deal light has 2 buttons... same as the latter.

just got em today..
very nice blades. the light is the one with green, blue, and white leds. i like that.

the lockback is kinda heavy, but i like them that way. i doesn't feel flimsy to me.

the skinner has good weight and balance.

it doesn't want to seat properly in the sheath. i had to push it in there snug and then it's ok.

where i have the knife pointed (^^^)at the skinner you can see how far it sticks out by the edge of the blade...

i only mention that because if you don't really push snug, the blade sticks out about 3/16" from the top of the sheath. i'm sure once i have been using it and stuffing it back in over and over it will find it's home.

so far so good. we'll see how sharp it stays once i get my first turkey....

i'm curious as to where everyone has purchased their knives. i'm looking to get some more, here and there. and i'm tired of bud k's selection.
i really like the crkt's. i have a few on my wishlist. i was on their website last night. cool stuff.

thanx.

95% of all my knives even the cheap ones were purchased from a traveling company that goes to fairs in the eastern part of the country. However, they do have a website and they do ship. Their prices are great and the 2 owners who I deal with personally when I purchase at the state fair are very knowledgeable and extremely courteous.

i really like the handle...quince wood.

the only downside to those guys is that they stopped carrying SOG. I asked them why and they said its because they were not going to let them sell the knives for cheap enough. Their prices (at least when they come to the fair) are consistently $20 or more below retail and I really wanted a SOG

I LOVE THIS KNIFE! :D I use it constantly and it has yet to begin to dull. I have a number of kershaw and smith and wesson knives but this is by far my favorite. It is the perfect size and the opening system is really cool. I had no clue that knives did that, I used to carry only assisted but if you aren't careful they can get you in some trouble in some places

Benchmade had and I think they still do have a sharpening program send it in and its like $5 and you get a factory sharp blade again

Nice collection of EDC knives. Which one is your favorite?

i just received my newest crkt! omg it's so awesome. it flips open in less than a blink of an eye! i'll post up pics of it tomorrow. i've been busy making an atv track in my backyard for the kid to play on! man i'm beat.

the red button on the bottom of the knife is a locking device to prevent you from accidentally closing it. you pull down on (push / pull) it and then you can release the lock on the blade. i also love the fact it can be opened in less than 1 second.

with my index finger.

this knife has a good balance and some heft to it. it's not going to be taken lightly when you whip it out.
i have had other crkt's in the past, but this one by far is my favorite. i also bought 2 of them. on sale for 49$ can't beat it. so now i have one. and when the kid is a little more responsible i'll be giving the other one to him.
