President Trump spoke 41 minutes to the nations at the United Nations.
I found it to be a spectacular speech.
He took the following to the woodshed:
North Korea, Iran, Syria, the United Nations, Cuba, Venezuela, Socialism, and Communism, while promoting peace, prosperity, dignity, for all people of the world.
It is an inspiring speech. I hope you will watch it.

I already did.

I'm glad we have a President again.

Much unlike the apologistic community organizer that we had before.

I also noticed that immediately following the speech, most news organizations were labeling the speech as offensive and bad.

paraphrasing] How dare the united states president insult every other nation in the world by telling them he was elected to represent the citizens of the US and he wasn't going to be screwing around making bad deals and kissing everyones ass while we get stabbed in the back.

I think one of my favorite parts was when he started naming names.

Many of which had representatives in the very room he was in. It's one thing to talk smack from the comfort of your office on the other side of the world. It's another to do it right there where you can smell them.

That is courage.

MY PRESIDENT kicked ass and named names in that speech...putting everyone, friend and foe alike, ON NOTICE !!

I am signed up to huckpack, a newsletter from Mike Huckabee. This is his thoughts about the speech. I tend to agree on all points.

Friend,
You really should see President Trump’s entire speech to the UN, but if you just have time for a taste, check out this passage on North Korea. Not since Ronald Reagan gave both liberals and his own weak-kneed staffers the vapors by accurately calling the USSR an “evil empire” has anyone looked so many pussyfooting toadies in the eye and slapped them with the hard truths they’ve spent their entire careers avoiding admitting or confronting (another example: Trump told the stunned leftist crowd that “the problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been faithfully implemented.”)

At this late date, when Kim Jong Un is threatening the world with the missiles he’s not supposed to have and nukes he wasn’t supposed to build under the “expert” smart diplomacy of the UN expense account crowd, and he’s reacting to their idea of more sanctions by threatening even worse aggression, it was high time someone delivered a big, steaming plate of reality to the UN.

Most of the ineffective diplomatic class didn’t like what was on the menu, and the arrogant liberal media outlets reacted as if someone had put deer jerky in their vegan kale salads. But their way of doing things has only led to a madman growing more powerful until he’s pointing nuclear missiles at the world.
It’s time for them to face reality and shake off their decades-long fantasies, whether it’s their failed scripts for dealing with aggressive dictators or their cherished delusion that they’re always the smartest people in the room.

Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee

" it was high time someone delivered a big, steaming plate of reality to the UN."

Yup...

I heard it on the radio and I was most impressed. I particularly liked the part about how well the Communists had done in Venezuela. LOL

And oh my God, Trump said "Rocket Man" in the UN! I just about shit my pants.

Now the North Korean foreign minister calls Trump a barking dog.

Perhaps he'd like Mr Trump to leave a big steaming pile of reality on his doorstep?

Great speech to a group that does all it can to ruin the world. Time to drain the UN

So I never figured out how this UN "peacekeeping" works . . .

Are all the UN peacekeepers volunteers from NATO countries?

Are there USA guys out there wearing blue helmets in some UN Brigade?

Here are my suggestions for the UN:

1. Get out of the USA. [Maybe NYC will waive all the fines you "visitors" have racked up to encourage your quick exit.]
2. Set up your HQ in Port-au-Prince.
3. Fix the problems in Haiti for practice.
4. Then you can get back to screwing around with real problems if you learn anything.
5. Stay out of the USA.

President Trump tells it like it is, and politicians don't like that. Clinton and Obama both have responsibility for the problems with North Korea today. I give Bush a pass because he had that little 9-11 thing to deal with (which Clinton could have done more to prevent as well), and then the ensuing war on terror.

The left, which includes the media, focuses on every word President Trump utters about social policies in this country and spins it to keep the chaos alive to cover up Obama's lousy policies, both foreign and domestic.

It is my opinion that Obama is sitting back thinking he did an excellent job. He did say in his first inaugural speech that he was going to fundamentally change America.Thank god we did not get Hillary and continue on the ways of the previous 8 years.

That tells me that he was, and still is on track to change the United States into a banana republic. There are people protesting in the streets about something that offends them, or is not fair on a daily basis. Obama went to great lengths to create a nanny state, and we all know once a group is given freebies it is nigh impossible to take them back. We are more and more an entitlement society .

Not impossible at all sir.

But the motivation must be there.

For instance if a North Korean missle landed in the continental United States, a whole lot of people who do nothing everyday would be highly motivated to get up off their ass all of a sudden.

And many of the attention-seeking peaceniks that you see waving their bleeding hearts around would suddenly be screaming for bloody vengeance.

I remember seeing this at 911. People's true emotions came to the surface and their politically correct masks fell off for a minute.

But of course that was in New York, and if it happened in San Francisco it would be a totally different scene, I guarantee you.
