i was at a neighbors house today and found out her late father was an avid reloader.

anyway i asked her if she had any of his old equipment. after her digging in the basement so far she found about 20#'s of melted lead and 2 boxes of .490 super ball.

my question is what's scrap lead worth today?

That would be classed as misc. lead (as opposed to say wheel weights or other lead such as in batteries), so it brings a little more per pound. Price varies but should be somewhere around 40-75 cents/lb. depending. Pure soft lead brings the highest price. If you have a recycler near you they'll tell you exactly what they will pay.
