Thank you for understanding what I was getting to about the Constitution being changed without most people believing its happening by new laws that are worded to go around the parts of the Constitution to slowly strip Constitutional rights. Sorry to hear what's going on in your home states, but that's how they roll out the test slowly in a few states as a test to see how it goes over with the people then if they succeeds they add a few more states, etc..
Hello, please read up on your states "castle doctrine law" a lot of good information for you on this. Your state does not have the "stand your ground law" .With the castle doctrine law a few parts of stand your ground was incorporated in the castle law, you do not have to retreat when a person enters your home unlawfully, you can use deadly force in your state. Please read about this law in your state for all the details so you are fully informed of what you can do if you or your family had of been this girl in your state. In my state of Ga. we have the "castle doctrine and the stand your ground laws" It covers your home, vehicle and place of work. I checked Montanas laws and its about the same as Ga. having both laws together. I can't help but think what would have happen to this young girl if her parents didn't have a firearm in the home and the parents have taught their daughter about the use of firearms from just what I read about it, "thank the Lord".
I know most of the members on this site know if their state has the "castle law and stand your ground law". If you don't please look into to it to know your rights to legally use deadly force. Until I researched Ga. where I live I wasn't aware it also applied to your vehicle's and place of employment.
No it is not easy at all, but the USA is heading in a direction a lot of us people with family's to protect will be doing the same thing. I'm sorry if speaking out of line but I truly believe Obama is setting the stage and will do something to stop the 2016 elections and he has no plans of leaving the Whitehouse. This thing with the Pope coming to the USA and meeting with Obama and yesterday they all including the Pope have the UN meeting in New York was not for the Pope just to come visit the US theres something going on behind the scene's and will find out later what it was and it not going to be peace and harmony for all.

I many states, even those with Castle Doctrines, it is illegal to leave a firearm available to a minor. Despite her having saved her own life, the parents could still be looking at severe felonies if this had happened elsewhere. The laws are convoluted state-to-state. NY's Cuomo is back on his anti-gun agenda after one of his lawyers was shot and killed. If this 11 yr old had lived in NY both parents would now be locked up.
