If you are reloading .223/5.56 for your MVP Varmint, you will want the O.A.L. (overall length) to be right around 2.260". Don't adjust the length to match the aftermarket clips! The cartridge with a O.A.L. longer than 2.270" WILL NOT fit in the original MOSSBERG clip but will fit in the aftermarket one (the aftermarket is made of thinner material). Just a heads-up based on experience.
