Russian troops 'Liberate' Crimean base

Thought y'all would get a chuckle out of the headline.

The BBC and other sources are reporting that Russian troops stormed a base in Sevastopol.

Armed men thought to be Russian have seized a Ukrainian military base in the Crimean city of Sevastopol.

A Reuters news agency journalist said no shots were fired and negotiations between the two sides were going on.

Interfax-Ukraine earlier reported that about 100 Ukrainian servicemen had been deployed at the base before the raid.

Troops wearing Russian uniform without insignia and their supporters have blockaded bases in Crimea since taking control of the peninsula last week.

I think at this point it's hard to say who should get what the Crimea area right now. Nobody knows what the province really wants.

IMHO Russia needs to get out, and Ukraine should allow them to bring to vote what they want to do. This whole hostile takeover, blockade and governments speaking for the people, shooting down what the other government says the people want is very much not productive.

If they go to Russia, it should be done the right way.

At least there's no bloodshed in this Russia/Ukraine thing.
