Tulsa PD officer Betty Shelby...NOT GUILTY

Officer Betty Shelby had a confrontation last September with a man who was standing in the middle of a Tulsa street . His vehicle was also in the middle of the street. The man was acting like he was high, which turned out to be the case.

In the ensuing moments officer Shelby thought the man was going for a gun in the vehicle and shot him. He did not survive. The victim was a black man, officer Shelby is white.

Before the police finished their investigation the DA filed manslaughter charges ,three days into the investigation .My personal feeling is he caved to the demands of a small but vocal group in town.

Anyway, after a trial that lasted 10 days , including jury selection, officer Shelby was found not guilty. The jury consisted of men and women of which I believe 5 were black . The justice system worked.

And.......queue riots!

Well, as expected, the family of the man killed is screaming murder. The media is more than happy to give them a podium. The mayor had a news conference yesterday and talked about how race relations in Tulsa need a lot of work because things have not improved much in the past 100 years. Nobody mentions the fact the man would not comply with the officers instructions. This would not have happened had the man complied with instructions.

The weather last night was stormy so the protestors/demonstrators/rioters stayed home. I suspect Al and Jesse will be making a trip to Tulsa in the near future.

The weather has been stormy with heavy rain the past two nights, so no one was protesting. The Tulsa public schools did let kids take a day off yesterday if they wanted to join a protest that was started via facebook by a student. The admin and teachers said it was a teaching moment about 1st amendment rights. Now granted, they did have rules in place as to when and where the march would take place. And teachers were available for guidance and comfort for those that did not want to participate.

God forbid they keep them in school and teach them to respect the law, respect the officers, respect the jury, respect for the system, and respect the verdict. A little self respect would not hurt either.

This is just another example of the leftist goons training future failures. These kids will think they can demand anything and if they don't get their way they can take to the streets and have no consequences. This is public education at work.

They will all find themselves worse off than ever. Life has consequences. This is not a silly video game where you get to simulate life.

When these kids find out that there's a huge demand for robot designers, but they don't know the first thing about what you need to know to get into robot design because they spent their life training to be TV communication specialists and socially sensitive liberal arts types, then you're going to hear a real wailing about social welfare and Justice.

Modern society cannot require anyone to do anything hard.

That would be punishment & that would be torture & we don't even require
prisoners to do difficult things.

We can't even require them to give up television. Oh no that would be too unusual. Cruelty beyond belief!

By the way they made Betty Shelby look like some kind of a criminal on the news. Even after she had been acquitted the news harassed her.

They staged a big protest at the front door and then they chased her around at the back door with a drone cam or somesuch. She looked just like she was on the lam.

Remember where the husband of Officer Betty Shelby was during the fatal shooting involving his wife?????????

Yep, he was on duty at the same time.

The news media is still going on about the trial and how the police department handled the case. Of course the Crutcher family gets all of the air time they want.
