UTG 500 rail w/ 930 waterfowl

4n2t0

The screws that came with the UTG rail are too long for the front holes of my 930 waterfowl. Has anyone had success sourcing screws of the appropriate length?

When I had that issue (but not a UTG rail), I put them in a screw gauge to protect the threads and used a Dremel to grind off the excess length.

Simple yet perfect solution. Thanks.

I was worried about ruining the threads but now that I know it can be done...

A screw gauge (or even a properly sized nut) will help protect the threads. Even if they get boogered up a little, they will straighten right up when you unscrew from the gauge or nut.
