What you usually don't see

I just wanted to stop for a minute to show you guys something you don't usually see.

It's a bunch of trucks sitting parked.

While that may not sound very exciting to most folks, I wanted to point out two things.

1. You usually don't see all these trucks parked because they're usually out working and keeping your world running normally.

2. I am in no way taking away from the sacrifices that our military and police and fire and other first responders have endured and continue to do every day that they wake up. But I do want to show you a quick picture of one of the worlds unsung hero's who face that same risk every day that they wake up of not going back home to their family at the end of the shift. And still go into harms way just the same.

I wouldn't have known about this link had my son not been there somewhere in that crowd of trucks and seen the camera and mobile van and later sent a link to me while he was waiting for his dispatcher to roll them out to wherever they needed him to go through the hurricane.

So, to my son, and all the other lineman out there, thank you.

Duke is around us also, our provider, Nineststar gets its power from Duke. Ive heard radio blurbs in the morning of the Indianapolis crews heading south. Much respect to those guys.

As I'm sure you're well aware brother, like any life threatening and stressful profession, it takes a special kind of person to do those kinds of jobs. Not just anyone off the street are willing or even able to stare death in the eye every day they go in to work and move towards danger and grab hold of it.

On a slightly different note, let me show you the knife that we got him for my sons 25th Birthday last month.

Nice, that will last him a lifetime. A good knife as a gift tells the recipient much thought was put into it.
