There is so much nice stuff in the US but the shipping and customs tax is not so nice :)
I got this from eBay UK in used but good condition for $25 and free shipping from Greece :)
Is it a fair price for the sling ? Bad buy ?

I think you did fine. It looks to me like a good condition original USGI sling. Not a bad thing at all.

There must be a ton of stuff in the EU from WW2 left behind by the US in 1945... Keep looking, you'll find it!

If you are in need, $25 seems to be a "good" price for a sling, delivered. Here in the US, Garand slings go from $15 to $30+ before shipping...

And you answered your own question! Excellent! :)

PS: that sling you pictured looks to be in good and serviceable condition. Yes, buy it!

Browsing slings on the net made discover "new" stuff, like the US M1 Kerr Sling :)

Comments on that sling ? Anyone using it ?

That is the sling for the M1 Thompson submachine gun... not the Garand.

yeah i know. It was maybe primary used with the Thompson. But it seem to be a good sling and could be used for other rifles. I dont know, i was just curious... :)

Must have been the fastest standard shipping in Europe :) Got it in my mail today.
One question: Can i wash it in a mild detergent ? There is a little dirt and oil.

I would call the dirt and oil "patina" or "character" and leave it be. ;) Unless it was heavily soiled... You go getting it wet, it may take a long time to dry, you may discolor the fabric and/or the hardware might rust.

I could feel the oil on the canvas, so i washed it. The water turned brown :D
Hardware that could be removed was removed.

Oh boy, this sling will make my Mossberg even hotter :D
