Today was a real milestone day for me, as I finally have some workable steel & rubber body mounts for the back of my project car. They are all welded up and painted and they both fit fine on the first try. I had the reinforcement channels on and off the body twice, as they had to be fitted up...

All the welding is finished. I sanded these and painted them satin black.

I manufactured all of the opposite hand pieces, and now I’m tacking them up. I will fit these into the body again and test them before I weld everything up solid.

Yeah when I looked at that I said to myself VPN. All the parts were roughed out with the sawzall and finished with the belt sander and bench grinder. I spent a lot of time stripping off the paint and zinc, so there’s no welding yet.

Vacuuming off years of dust. I gotta remove these (maybe oil) spots. I had to fit the top up to make sure the windshield was straight. It’s not. It’s almost 1/4” high on the driver side. Chopped from the factory.
