yea savage is coming out with one and the ballistics on the .17WSM is better and is now rated the fastest rimfire bullet. I use to rabbit and squirrel hunt alot with a 22 mag but always wanted something with more power and a 22-250 was to much money.
Here are the numbers on the .17 WSM
S17W20 Varmint HV 20-gr Plastic Tip 3,000 fps
S17W25 Varmint HE 25-gr Plastic Tip 2,600 fps
X17W20 Super-X 20-gr JHP 3,000 fps
And a box of 50 rounds between 15-20 dollars from what I hear. But who knows until it comes out in april this year from what winchester ammo says.
