87,000 IRS Armed Agents - Gun Control - prove me wrong

So our government wants to add 87,000 armed IRS agents to the swamp. A couple of observations and comments from a 60 year old, white male, tax paying, gun owning patriot living in the socialist republic of New York.
1. Let’s kill two birds with one stone. Impose a tax on ammunition and/or gun ownership. Most probably a hefty tax. Most gun owners will say FU and the the brownshirts will be unleashed.
2. Outright confiscation. If you are a registered gun owner then the brownshirts will be dispatched to inspect your premise to confirm your are compliant.
3. Legal and registered gun owners will be singled out and harassed by the IRS in an effort to make you get rid of you lawfully purchased firearms.

All of the above are not focused on the criminals that have and possess a gun and are basically exempt from this initiative.

There are probably more scenarios that can be put forth but these are the ones that came to mind.

Also just some food for thought.

You are not likely to be wrong.

Either that, or they are going to treat firearms (braces, et. al) as NFA, which is a taxed item.

There are already lawsuits filed for braces. receivers. Etc.

But, they never let that stop them.

If dividend up equally that's 1740 new agents per state. Quite a little force. Single finger salute to them all.

I wonder if they will be pulling funding from the other alphabets like DHS and INS?

BTW, Robin Hood was a Socialist... ;)

Don't fret bobster. They're not hiring that many revenuers to harass the rich and famous.

I promise.

Dont forget about their guns n ammo they have been buying up....

They've been buying and stockpiling ammo in bulk since the obama years.

I think this is a reaction to the fact that the government has shot itself in the foot with all of this immigration amnesty.

We have about 30 million illegal aliens living in this country and they’re not very good about staying legal with things like taxes and naturalization.

The federal government has let all these new taxpayers loose in the country to work here and live. Now they’re going to have to document all of them so they can collect the taxes.

Just because the Democrats pretend to love Mexican people doesn’t mean they won’t tax the shit out of them just like us.

Cadd, the real problem is “remittance” which refers to money earned in the United States that is transferred to relatives, friends or business associates who are still abroad. Remittance payments may be made by U.S. citizens, lawfully-present aliens but mostly by illegal aliens. Over the last decade it has averaged $150 Billion annually and because most of the illegals are paid in cash by their direct employer or by a third party who contracts touch/farm labor no state or federal income tax is collected. But even worse these remittances preclude other taxes, like sales tax from being collected because these monies are not spent in the U.S. Plus there is no beneft to the U.S. economy as a result of these direct transfers.

Neither political party, nor the IRS, has made any effort to tax or implement transfer fees on these remittances as they are transferred generally by wire or money order. Look around any town and you'll see places with window ads for international transfers. And on Friday afternoon, after getting paid in cash, you might see a line outside the stores.

This continues to be a problem that no one wants to address.

Regards

Good point Ernst, but my "problem" is with the millions of illegals that we have to pay to feed, clothe, house, transport, give free cell phones and medical to... :( That is money that could be paid to workers to then be spent on the economy. The "remitters" still pay for groceries and what not or probably not--I'm sure they all have EBT cards...

Bobster, you have identified the other half of the problem. Live on EBT cards, work for cash, and every Friday send remittances back home to Central America.

But Bidet says nothing to worry about!
