About 200 rounds today. Not a single malfunction. Although the Holosun did loosen up about half way through. It may be that I didn't get it tightened down originally. Both of the ASC 32 rounders I used ran flawlessly, although I did only load 30 in them. Ejection is nice and consistent about 4:00. Bolt locked back every time. 7, and 14 yards, 5 shot groups pretty much all touched. Ran 124 NATO ammo exclusively, with 10 rounds of 124 HST on top of 20 ball rounds. To check function.Just waiting on a bang switch.

The mount it comes with is lower 1/3 height. I don't really understand the lower third concept. I've used absolute cowitness on rifles with fixed front posts, with no problem. It's a good way to quickly verify the optic zero, so long as irons are zeroed. If the holosun is the same height as the bushnell trs25, it'll be closer to a lower 1/3 cowitness.
Glad the gun was running good. Though, I sincerely like pistol caliber AR's. They're nice shooting guns for sure.
This time 5 years ago, everyone but me was saying that pistol caliber carbines were obsolete.
That is a really sweet Upper @John A. . im all green jelly.OK, I couldn't resist. I found one of the more rare Colt variant uppers out there and I got a really good deal on it so I jumped.
The photos are from the guy selling it
While it is a 14.5" barrel, I do have an SBR that I could throw it on, or I could put a long flashider and pin/weld it and put it on my Colt M4 lower, but check out the barrel on this upper. That's what initially got my attention.
It's the SOCOM upper which has extra notches in the heavy barrel under the handguard to make it more rigid to mount an underbarrel device (M203, Knights Masterkey, etc). Even the sling attachment is in a different place.
I didn't have a complete colt upper so I figured if I am only going to have one, I would be alright with this one. I just thought it would be a unique variant to have.
Hey @Djcala where I do get reloadable smoke/flares for 37mm bloop tubes?
I didn't really want the Knights Armament KAC/RAS drop-in GI Rail system handguards because quite frankly I didn't really like them, but I wanted to show the extra notches in the barrel and the sling mount.
