5 inch barrel Springfield XD .45... No harder or more uncomfortable to conceal than my XD 9mm Subcompact. I asked a friend to point out where the gun was as I walked around for a minute and he couldn't tell.

That's close to where I carry my XD service. I carry it a little more toward my right hip (4 o'clock).

It is a Blackhawk $15 holster. It is simple, non obtrusive, and it works. Can't ask for more. I put the extended mag in last night to keep by my bed stand, forgot to exchange it for the compact grip this morning, and didn't notice until I got home and took it off.
