CT Malloy To Ban Guns For Watch List By Executive Fiat

I really do not like that politicians are enacting "law" by executive order. Well, actually I really hate it. It is completely against what our country has always stood for. Our revolution was fought over a king that treated us the same way. EO's that make "law" ignore our system of 3 government branches. CT Governor Malloy will ban people in that state from buying a gun if they are on the federal "no fly" list with a stroke of his pen. Nothing like wiping out the 6th amendment right to a to a trial with a jury of our peers not to mention the great American legal tradition of "innocent until proven guilty". Actually he is denying both 2A and 6A rights to people who happen to fall onto an arbitrary government list that they: 1)don't know they are even on 2)have no real way to get off of the list 3)don't know the criteria to get onto the list.

I'm sure this will be challenged but why should it even have to be? How can this sh%$ even happen? Look for the other socialist governors to enact this too. What a load of b.s. "This is a moment to seize in America — and today I’m here to say that we in Connecticut are seizing it.”...don't let a crisis go to waste. It looks like he learned from the master.

With the mass shooting in California last week focusing attention on terrorism and guns, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy of Connecticut announced on Thursday that he would sign an executive order that would bar people on federal terrorism watch lists from buying firearms in the state.
Mr. Malloy said Connecticut would become the first state in the nation to have such a measure.
“Like all Americans, I have been horrified by the recent terrorist attacks in San Bernardino and Paris,” said Mr. Malloy, a Democrat. “This should be a wake-up call to all of us. This is a moment to seize in America — and today I’m here to say that we in Connecticut are seizing it.”

How will CT know you're on the Fed Watch List if its contents are secret, only for use by the Feds? The stuff is getting deep...hopefully CT residents will throw is ass out of office sooner rather than later.

I guess at this point nothing should surprise me. It's pretty obvious that they feel they can do whatever they want.
 
Don't forget about due process. That's being done away with as well.

The no fly list is a huge issue. When Obama spoke the other night, he said nicely list then said terrorists shouldn't have guns. We all know about the DHS list of potential terror suspects which would mean quite possibly every member here could be on it. Libs have spun this as if to say foreign terrorists shouldn't be able to enter the country and purchase guns but this is not at all what Obama was talking about. He plainly is targeting domestic terror suspects.
 
The no fly list is full of errors...

It contains the names of many operators from different agencies (with clearances) to include the DoD, FBI, CIA, DHS, as well as members of the military and press...basically anyone who has flown into harms way in the 37 countries around the globe deemed terrorist havens.

It's a stupid idea that will "not fly" in the face of reality.

They're all scmucks to take the heat off the big guy. You know that by now. Even through hitlery under the bus.
