There is a radio station here in Hartford that has 1/2 price deals with various company's. Delta Arsenal is one of them. Right now if you log in to Wccc and look here,
http://store.wccc.com/index.php?main_pa ... cts_id=188
You will see their deal on a NRA Basic Pistol Course, usually $110 , now 1/2 off, $55 !! (Sales tax is not included. And Other restrictions may apply.)
They also offer *simunition training for $300..

Has anyone had any training using this? I'm interested in checking this out.

If I lived in Connecticut I would take advantage of this offer...!!

I had my wife get me this gift certificate for Christmas. Took the course end of January. I think there were 15 people in the course, and a 3-4 week wait in getting signed up for a class. The price has since gone up, and out of the 15, maybe 12 had the gift certs. She paid the sales tax when buying it from the website, but I didn't have to pay the difference in the new price (even though the value of the gift cert was listed on certificate itself).

I don't have anything to compare the class to, but it was about 7 hours long and pretty mind numbing (not the instructors' fault)... I'd say the class size was a little too large for my liking, but again, for $60, I won't complain too much. They were good about answering questions.

The live fire was 1 + 3 rounds on a glock... G17 or G19, I don't remember.

I have no info on any of the other training...

Howdy fantomas and welcome to the club!

8 weeks for a pistol permit? What kind of course are you taking?

Sorry, I meant to say I applied 3 weeks ago. State statute says they have 8 weeks to get it back to you, usually it takes longer, but I'm hoping they get it back to me in 8....

Aha...that makes sense....but it stinks that they make you wait so long.
