First AR Build, No Roadmap

Caddmann, the Matrix arms handguards ( and perhaps others) only require a 1 3/16" wrench to tighten barrel nut. If you want to avoid some of the special tools, it's possible to work around some of them.

I've often just used a PMag as a block for workkng on loweds. It works finas lkng as you dont crank it down to hard in.the vise or torque it too much.

I think most of us just make due and accumulate tools that make life easier as we progress and build/reconfigure more guns.

I think I set the buffer tube castle nut with a flat head screwdriver and a hammer on my first build. LOL.

I don't want to avoid the tools. I just want to get the right ones, and something that will last.

I don't want to find out I bought a cheap wrench when I screw up an expensive barrel nut or worse.
