I have noticed that tactical pens are not allowed on airlines. So if I can find a one piece pen kit that is ridged enough, I might be able to add my own lil top that would be comfortable yet not look like it's a tactical pen....
I was thinking about using Lignum Vitea on an atlas/polaris kit or even the Apex SE Pen Kit

I have a friend that makes pens. Here's one he sent me. Brass, steel & walnut. Very sturdy, and for up close and personal an effective stabbing tool. Go for it. The kits are not expensive and you should expect to get $35 and up for the finished product.

Hmm...Maybe my buddies pen looked more like a weapon than pen then.
No matter...I still gotta try my hand at em. I ordered a few different sets to work with and I'm sketching up some designs right now.

You know the secret too, then. Great pen mod. I've done about a dozen and kept two for myself, given others to friends who liked mine.

I found a pen kit to make my tactical pen!

I also found a guy who makes Damascus knife blades and he's going to let me have some for the pen. Possibly as early as next week! Wooooo!

I also have some new blocks of lignum vitea and some desert ironwood. Both heavyweight woods.
