Good morning

Some of us Once owned British cars, and will relate to this issue.

The new Jaguar will be 100% electric.

This is the plan from a company which has, in almost 100 years of production, never once got the electrics right.

I do Believe that the cars produced under Ford management were a little better.

Imagining that the electrics are soon to be Chinese instead of Lucas, they will still burn up wires, switches, and regulators like vintage Jags.
 
Yes, if you recall I had an MG at one time.

And if the new electric Faguars start self-igniting, they may change that old phrase.

Good evening, guys.

When I originally got this project car, the seats were kind of off location, because somehow the original kit had included four right seat risers and no lefts. They just buggered up the hole locations and made it work (sort of.)

In order to correct the seat locations (in a hurry) I had to “reverse” two of the seat risers. I reversed them with a large hammer, over my homemade anvil.

The first one turned out so ugly that I decided to do the second one by cutting it with a saw and welding it back together the opposite way. I did this with an oxy/ acetylene torch. It looks pretty crude, because it was one of the first things I torch welded in many years. I put those in the photographs for comparison.

Anyhow, here you can see me hammer new seat risers from some nice old 14 gauge steel. I spent some time making them as accurately as I could, considering that I don’t have a press, and had to use angle irons and a vice, and a bunch of clamps.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. We don't have family gatherings any more due to various reasons, but we've still got each other. The wife and I usually spend a quiet day inside. The weather turned and the temp is in the upper 20's - but at least the rain stopped. The first snow may arrive Saturday. In Kansas, you never know. Take care and be well.
 
I barbecued some nice ribeye steaks this year instead of cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving. They were pretty awesome. Judy whipped up some roast vegetables and mashed potatoes. My sister made some fancy pie covered with whip cream and caramelized nuts.

We watched Macy’s parade, listened to Vivaldi during dinner instead of talking about politics and the wars, and we watched the big dog show.

My dog always barks at the show dogs on the TV. He enjoys the dog show just as much as I do.

It was just me and my wife and my sister this year. My girls have moved off to Exeter and Visalia with their families and they are having, each, their own thanksgivings now.

My sister and two of my granddaughters live in Fresno and my niece is in Kingsburg, plus I have one granddaughter in Idaho and another one in Virginia.

Mom and Dad are long gone and everyone else has moved away from Clovis now.

Many of us in the US think Greta is/was a pawn with manipulation bordering on child abuse by her parents and slimedia. "Climate Change" as an issue itself is a farce.
Many of us in the US give zero f*cks about Ukraine and want the funding to stop. Let them join NATO while the US should LEAVE NATO... If they want our help, they can hire us, cash in advance. ;)

Some would say our country was founded by conspiracists... :D The Great Seal appears on every dollar bill. Is the meaning simple and innocuous OR complex with many hidden, secret meanings?

Good morning to all. It’s been a few days since I checked in. We had company most of Thursday that kept me offline.I hope everyone had a safe holiday.
We have had nice weather. Lows in the morning high 20s to low 30s with highs in the afternoon between 55 to 60.

The posts about Greta are spot on. Of course the media props her up as if she is all knowing and all caring, of which she is neither.

I am in the anti Zelensky corner as well. When this war is over he will look to the world to rebuild his country. Russia can’t afford to, most of the world can’t afford to. There is so much that needs to be done here and we send 10s of billions of dollars to keep this “war” going. Of course our big defense contractors are loving it.

Two more months and things will change.

One small nuke and nobody will be rebuilding Ukraine.

As for the Bidencrimefamily, well we knew Hunter would not face the law quite yet.

Let us hope that pardon is Joe’s last crime against humanity.
