Good morning

Good morning guys.

Watching the Daily Signal this morning Tony is telling us that the tiki torch wielding Nazis in Charlottesville were funded under the table by the Southern Poverty Law Center‘s subsidiary action groups.

Evidently this was done with money from donors plus big government grants.

If you ever feel like you’re paying for both sides of the war, you wouldn’t be far off.

Meanwhile, Iranian fishing boat gunmen board ship from Panama (filled with consumer goods destined for the UK) seizing it for Allah. . . . Or publicity, as their news video shows the stern of a much larger ship. No idea where the crew is from.

So that’s one small ship for Iran
One giant move for the Iranian navy.
(Straight down, I hear. A gravity ploy.)

Good morning MOers. Cloudy, very windy and 70 at 8am. The high today should be 80ish with a slight chance of a thunderstorm. Tonight from midnight to 3am we are forecast to have severe storms rolling through with high wind, hail, down pours and possible tornados. Perfect for a good nights sleep, lol.

Have a great day and stay safe.

I do remember having snowfall in May when I lived on the Canadian border in Minnesota. But it came and went and it didn’t stick around.

We had a couple days of rain here and I didn’t do any plastering, but now I’ve got the tape up, and some mud on it, and tomorrow I start floating it out.

Thoughts for the Day

Don't become so Open Minded that your Brain Falls Out!

How much more of this "Whinning" can American stand?

Maybe beside Term Limits in Government we might need Age Limits!

Delays, delays…. We’ve had more rain and I spent time in the attic cleaning up and re-insulating.

I taped, mudded and sanded my ceiling, and it was getting pretty good. I put some texture up to seal and level things, but it’s going to need more skimming and texture.

Meanwhile, my Kirby vacuum died, and I ordered a new switch for it. It takes at least 3 hours to strip it, clean it up, replace the switch, seal the “snail” and reassemble. I just did this two years ago.

I’ve had Kirbys almost 40 years. The Kirby switch used to last ten years and more.

Probably Chinese made now. Kirby was always US made.

@Cadd, you are reminding me why we moved to the old folks home, lol.

@Ernst, for the life of me I can’t remember what that is. Perhaps I never knew. If I were to guess I would say a rack for ladies to hang nylons or for men to hang ties.

We missed the storms in the area last night but have more forecast for this afternoon. Our high should be mid to high 70s.

y’all have a great day.

Meany, that's a Music Staff Liner for drawing on a chalkboard.

The staff lines made by using chalk would be a total of 7 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" between the lines.

It could also be used as a Cursive Writing liner back in the day when school still taught kids to write!

I tried to get my wife to sell this property and move out of the state to a more convenient place but that’s not gonna happen.

I guess that in the end, it all depends on whether I fall apart faster than the house.

The music teachers in school all had chalk holders. Mostly we got dittos.

Our geometry teacher had a big wooden compass that held chalk.

I remember a 6 foot long wooden slide rule over the blackboard, as well.
