A friend gave me this huge receiver to fix, and then she passed away. It’s 100 watts/channel. When it works.



That was 24 years ago. Last night I finally started testing the transistors. At least 4 of the 8 mains are cooked.



The ballasts are on these boards and they are still OK.



Meanwhile, I must do much more testing before I buy parts. So, I started making the box for my 5 watt mini speaker amp.



It was nice when I started but now It’s nearly 90f at 11 am, so I came indoors to finish the cutting.

Now it gets sanded and I drill for the control board.

Still needs wiring and to mount the amp.



Also a handle and some little feet.

The amp is in and it’s all wired.



Too late to play it loud though.

Well sometimes “tomorrow” never comes. I made a recording but no time to edit and post.

Meanwhile, you’ve seen the videos of poor people being paid $2, $4, and even $5 to register and vote for Karen Bass.

But the news isn’t mentioning that for $2 you can legally wind up in prison 5 years..

Per U.S. Code 52:

"Whoever . . .pays or accepts payment either for registration to vote or for voting shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than five years, or both."

Per count. They could get multiple penalties. One for each vote bought or sold.

Here is the backside of a tornadic thunderstorm as it moved away from us. It touched down about 15 miles southeast. As this was taken it was a out 25 miles east.

No funny weather going on here. Just our normal Central Valley summer.

One Hundred degrees Fahrenheit is predicted for today and we are nearly there at half past noon. I’ve been hanging out inside working on this little amplifier.

All the wiring is tidied up neatly.



I added this quarter inch phono jack with some reinforcement washers.



I made another sound hole in the back.



These little grilles came from some old computer power supplies that I retired years ago. These are brass plated, so a little fancier than normal.

Good morning Mossberg Owners.

This looks like another lovely California summer day, and we will certainly get up to 100° again.

So President Donald Trump puts his name on a public building and NYC, and a million people go insane. (Well super insane, because the baseline there always seems particularly high.)

NOW, Imagine if our president & VP were posting up huge communist art pix of themselves like this all over.



Not just Internet jokes but on physical buildings and and ten stories tall.

Democrats would be lining up with pitchforks and torches.

Good morning. Headed for upper 80s and muggy again today. I am not complaining though. I like this much better than cold.

The Democrats are lining up to explain what they could do with the money they think Elon Musk has. It’s ironic, he creates jobs that provides the opportunity for thousands to make a good living, the Dems want to take his money and basically give it to those that won’t work, or to the fraudsters that just steal for a living
