How to attach sling to stock?

Hey all,

I just got my Mossberg 500 3in1 the other day and it is AWESOME!

Here it is on Bud's (didn't buy it there):

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/prod ... B+3IN1+SPL

Anyway, it came with the mag tube swivel stud screw as well as a swivel stud screw for the pistol grip. The manual states to screw it into a pre marked spot in the pistol grip and it's self tapping.

I was not planning on using the pistol grip (yet) but rather the synthetic stock. Where can I screw this in to the stock? I noticed a flat notch on the bottom of the stock about 2/3's of the way down. Is that spot what's that for? Manual does not say anything about it.

I was also considering the GG&G mounts that put the sling mounts on the side (like these):

But if I were to mount a flashlight on the left as well as the sling mount (I am right handed) would the front mount interfere?

Thanks for the help guys!

Sling swivel studs located under the stock and under the barrel are meant for carrying the shotgun vertically behind your shoulder "aka" hunter style.

If you want to cross carry your shotgun across your chest, or use a sling point that allows for a tactical style carry, then you have to pick other sling attachment points.
