I actually remember a time when all toy guns looked like real ones.

Then, the government got involved and made toy gun makers paint them weird bright colors.

And now we have came full circle again.

Somewhat off topic, I remember a soldier in Iraq who got into trouble for painting his flash hider bright orange on his M4 too. While funny, he did get into trouble over it.
