Mossberg 464 Lever Action Photo Gallery

Here are a couple of pics of my new 464, 30-30 lever gun today (A Davidson's Gallery of Guns special) 16 1/4" SS carbine.
It is the Marine coat stainless which is nice with a synthetic stock.


It has Williams Fire sights that in the day light are nice.

I'm thinking about maybe a scope as my old eyes are not what they used to be.

I have put 30 rounds of Federal 150gr SP's through her free hand to abjust the sights some.
When it cools off a little more here I'll set up my targets down range and sight her in proper.

464 w/scope

Well finally mounted a scope on my 464. Mines the mariner (SS) finish so I looked around for a scope to sort of match :?: :?:
Found a Burris Fullfield 2 3~9X40 that looked good. Got some SS see through rings and had to settle with the Weaver 403 bases... :cry: (not SS or even the same color). :x




Took her to a local indoor 25 yard range to sight her in on paper... And for the first time in my life I had a five shot group that I am proud of. (Standing free hand) :D

(Now I did not take a shot of the following shoots.. :lol: :? :roll: )
Was using cheep Reminington 150gr ammo.

I added a Limbsaver slip on recoil pad for a longer LOP, feels even nicer now :lol: :p

The 464 will do her part that's for sure! :mrgreen:

Nice shooting. Mine wanders some as it heats up. I'm going to remove the handguard and free float the barrel and magazine tube.

I have seen a few stainless 464 rifle's on the net that have walnut furniture not the gray laminate
that Cabelas and Davidsons are selling . Who did Mossberg make that rifle for or is it a 2010 model :?:

You will find that Mossberg makes many models in different configurations without a nod to the catalog or website. Enjoy the diversity...

Awesome, I have been checking the Mossberg site but didn't see it there until now. Thanks that will be in my safe this spring when more hit the market!!!! :D
