MOSSBERG ASSAULT STYLE RIFLES LISTED ON CANADA GOV'T BUYBACK

Another step towards slavery. :) Still trying to disarm the people. Bad news if Canadians fall for it. Guns being "bought back" with taxpayer dollars.

Understand the program is facing resistance from several provinces, including Alberta, Ontario, N.B, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, which have said they will not administer the program.

Well I'm smack dab in downtown Toronto and the RCMP worded their 2026 gun grab/Buyback as below :2026 GUN GRAB.jpg

Yep, soon all we'll have left to repel invaders (home & foreign) are our blunderbusses, flintlocks & harsh language :brick:

P.S. Don't forget we don't have your 2A so consider yourself lucky.

Let us know if you have any questions on how to umm... "non-declare" firearms. You're asking for your friends, of course... ;)

There is talk of trading New York state for Alberta. NY becomes New Ontario and Alberta becomes North Montana. :D (jk)

PS: I'm not sure how much those guns on the list cost initially, but in US dollars most of those prices would be fair. I'd rattle-can camo on a Tac-22 to make it a "Duck Commander" b4 I turned it in.

Maybe some of the Canadian leadership should study this chart closely to see who's paying the bills.

Maybe Alberta would like to join Montana?

It's more complicated in that the separatist movement in AB ( like Quebec) still favours staying within the confederation of Canada.
Google AI also says :

AB Autonomy.jpg
There's that plus external forces from within the current US WH pushing/manipulating AB's Premier to obtain cheaper
crude via annexation. This would be inline with what your WH has already done to Venezuela & probably to Greenland.
It's all about the lust/greed/avarice for more more more. But let's leave turbid politics aside though.

Back to the original topic at hand, Canada simply wants your 2A, your castle doctrine, your cheaper everything. In exchange the US
can have Quebec instead ?

As such, Peace Out & cheers to my US friends south of the border. Canada still luvs y'all !

I'll be the first to aasure you we, Mossberg folks, have friends on both sides of the border.

Some of us have private mail chats frequently discussing like minded issues.

But as Husker88 said the recent increased interface with the Chineese needs to be watched. They are likely more interested in your coal and oil than anything else which will in turn facilitate a greater influx of Chineese goods. They are heavily dependent on Iranian oil today which may or may not be a reliable source in the future.

Need to keep North America united and strong IMO!

Regards

The petition is being organized by the group Stay Free Alberta, which seeks a referendum on whether the province should become an independent country. Supporters argue Alberta has been disadvantaged by federal policies, including equalization and national decision making, which they say prioritizes Ontario and Quebec.

“You can’t just govern for two provinces. You have to listen to people in all parts of the country,” said Gerry Winnicki.

“We’ve sent $650 billion to Ontario and Quebec over the last 50 years. That’s just not done anywhere else in the world. So, what do you expect us to do? Just to keep doing that?”

Under Alberta’s Referendum Act, organizers must collect 177,732 valid signatures by May 2 for the question to be verified and potentially brought before the legislature.

Big can of worms we're prying open here :
Keep in mind that Trump (and his cabinet by default) is the Troller-In-Chief. Most anyone with any intelligence knows some of the things he proposes are sheer fantasy concocted to give slimedia and the lemmings that watch it, a rise. :) His comments are made to flush out the idiots in the room and they do. ;) The Greenland "crisis" falls into this category...

While Oilberta would certainly be welcome as the 51st state, and is more worthy than other proposed states like Puerto Rico or DC, it will never happen. Albertans are simply too proud. But separation will also work in the US' favor so I'm good with that... :)

It is interesting to watch our neighbors to the North consider this seperation movement. This movement is not unlike in some ways to the ongoing initiative in Eastern Oregon proposing that a majority of Oregon counties would separate from Oregon and join Idaho.

In Alberta:

A Research Co. poll released on January 8, 2026, reported that compared to attitudes in June 2023, “Support for the idea of Alberta joining the United States increased by five points to 24%, while backing for outright independence went up by nine points to 31%”. The poll also found that “Agreement with Alberta’s separation from Canada rose to 40% among those who voted for the governing United Conservative Party (UCP) in 2023 (up 11 points), compared to just 11% among New Democratic Party (NDP) voters (up two points).”

Under its Citizen Initiative Act, Alberta has established a petition process that allows eligible voters to submit proposed legislative and policy changes and proposed constitutional referendum questions to the provincial government for consideration. In 2025, the government lowered the threshold to trigger a provincial referendum to 10% of the total votes cast in the most recent general election, specifically 177,732 signatures.

The greenies love the revenue from the oil, but won’t admit to it. They use climate as the scapegoat to legitimize their plundering.Same down here.

Trump definitely knows how to shake folks up. Better yet he gets them and thinking about as possibilities that others never considered.

Trump is just dealing like he's done all his life. Offer something outrageous and unobtainable, then settle for the reasonable deal he wanted all along. :D

I listen to BBC OTA sometimes at night in the shop and not only am I convinced at least half of the US is sub-intelligent, I'm certain more than half of the world is, too! :(

They will have some US or expat "journalist" or "academic" on to talk bad about Trumpy and/or the US. I don't think I've heard any opposing (ie: conservative) viewpoints on any topic they report on and they deliberately "twist" the story to make the good guys (us) look bad. The MN obstructions of ICE and Greenland come to mind.

In the BBC's defense, they do occasionally have some interesting content you don't hear about in the states.

The latest fake news is the "outrage" by the Dumpocraps on the Nobama monkey meme. The only thing Trumpy should apologize for is that the Nobamas are offended--they should have more cajones than that! (well, I have heard Mike has a pair :D ) Skip to 4:37 to see the entire AI-generated video. :D
