Curious of DOB on a 500 S/N U707XXX. 28" barrel, blued bolt and trigger, no porting. I tried to figure it out, but I couldn't. I suck. I think it's fairly old based on no barrel porting.

Thanks man! I thought that was it, but my old 835 is a UM number and it's from '88-'89. It's confusing how they do serial #'s.

I have a new one for the database.

I just got off of the phone with Mossberg customer service and my, recently acquired, 935 3½ Magnum and the 'Born On Date' for serial # AM025*** is 11/15/2004. I hope this will hel someone else in the future.

@Ernst, I have another for you. My new to me 590 Thunder Ranch. V1592XXX. It came with the KIUI camo stock and matching MLOK forend. According to thread page 1, it looks like it was built after 2021?

Tcecil88, if I remember right Mossberg and Clint Smith intorduced the Thunder Ranch model in very late 2023 and I know it was front and center at Shot Show 2024 which was around Janruary 23-26,, 2024.

Best way to find the exact month and year of manufacture is to call Mossberg and give them the serial number. I haven't seen any specific data on that late of a model but that should be the right window.

If you find the exact date please let us know.
