Mossberg Serial Number Data Base

I added another 930 to my collection recently, a new-old-stock 930 JM Pro (24", p/n 85118) - it's dated 2021-02 on the box with a serial of AF0077xxx

Newbie here, I'm trying to find out when my 935 was made. I traded for it & the original owner got it as a gift & it just collected dust (oh, God there was a LOT of dust) in a closet because it wouldn't cycle. The first couple of the serial is AMO77. I'm guessing from this chart, it's about 2015 give or take, is this a fair assessment? 20201101_160305.jpg

New Haven by Mossberg 12 ga 600AT serial number H259xxx.
Bought it new in Grand Forks, ND in fall of 1979.
Mossberg told me the date of manufacture is June 19, 1979.
Probably not more than 400 shells put through it.

Welcome
Thank you for posting your numbers. I'll update our data base.

That weapon lived for a while in Grand Forks, then Oklahoma City, then Dover Delaware, and finally settled here in Montgomery Alabama.

On our data base your 20ga WF look's to be a 1976. We don't have enough info in our data base for the 16ga.
Thank you for posting your numbers. I will update our data base.

Hi, I'd appreciate some help from your guys knowledge. I have a 500 ATP serial j110922 from 1983 with the adjustable choke barrel. I need to replace the 8 shot mag spring. Finding part difficult to find. Can I use the 590a1 spring? If not suggestions for sourcing one please.
Best J

I am not sure if build date of my 835. I assume it's early build as it has only 5 numbers after the um prefix. Um82837. who would I contact to get actual info?

You could contact Mossberg. Looking at our data base.We only have one other 5 digit serial number for the 835 and it's not complete.

Mossberg 500 (12ga): V1460xxx. I picked it up a few weeks ago, used, with no box.
Shockwave (12ga): V1321xxx. Bought new about 3 years ago.

Look's like your 500a is one of the newest we have in our data base so far.
The shockwave is right behind it. Educated guess it's around a 2021.

That makes me feel good about the 500. I picked it up off GunBroker for $280/shipped, so I feel like I got a pretty good deal.

You're spot-on about the Shockwave. I picked it up in '21.

Always glad to help!

I have a 600AT

Date of manufacturer for your firearm with serial number H486399 is 7-25-80.

From Mossberg.
Hello and greetings from Central New Hampshire! I have a 600 at with a serial number of H217432. It's my understanding this is one that was manufactured in March of '79.
Never had a firearm the same age as me. Any help you folks could give me would be appreciated.
And no in the recoil pad that's not dirt. That's what's left of the wasp nest that was in it apparently. That butt pads all beat to hell. Definitely going to order a new one given that I know that wasn't the original that came on it.
She's been around for a while either that or the person or people that had this before me played a little roughly with it. I did clean it up. I tore it all down with the exception of removing the actual wood stock. Interesting how this one came apart. She runs damn smooth now. I think the only things I want to get for it are a new recoil pad and tube spring. Contemplating sanding the wood down and refinishing and lacquering it. Bring it back to life a little bit. I'm not really sure what to do about any of the other scuff scratches and dings on the receiver. Probably just leave that as it is. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this.
