need help selecting a dot scope?

well since i had a bare top rail on my 590, i am now wanting a dot/holograph scope for it.

i was looking at 2 truglo scopes, that is till i read about LES' sightmark thread (liked it alot), so now i have 3 to choose from in making a decision.

mainly want it for the range and to target practice, so nothing too expesive like the EOtech sights (dont want to pay more for the sight than i did for the gun, got it....), but i do need it to stand up to the recoil of the gun at the least, and not break after a few rounds.

as far as HD goes, well i still got the bead sight for that and the scope will be removable.

these are the 2 i was toren between (at first) also included links to amazon

stigmata,

I ordered a sight mark, and received on like the picture above. It sits to high in my opinion. I was unable to get a cheek weld, and see the sight. I would have to lift my head off the stock to see the dot. Now I got to figure out what I am going to do with it.

I went with a Truglo, but it is the scope looking one, not any you have listed. I do not have a review on how it holds up to shooting yet, but the sight picture from the stock is good. I picked it up with a gift card. Mine is like the link below, but it is 20 or 25mm, so it is smaller.

If this one doesnt hold up, I think I am going to go with the one LES has had good luck with.

DO NOT ORDER THE SIGHT MARK YOU HAVE LINKED. THAT IS THE ITEM I ORDERED, AND GOT THE OTHER ONE. MY REVIEW IS IN THE REVIEWS OF THAT ITEM. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE, AND IT WAS EASIER JUST TO KEEP THE WRONG SIGHT.

Thx for the info frank.
Let us know how ur scope handles the recoil....
Ur scope in the link is a bit more scope than I wanted on the gun, trying to keep it a bit smaller since I don't have the GRS setup....

Frank,I solved the problem of eye alignment in two Mossberg shotguns ,after installing different red-dots, thanks to Accu Riser 6000.I fixed it with screws.I will make a review as soon as possible. This is the link:

One advice. It is better to install a red-dot that you can remove easily without allen keys or similar;only one screw in mount.Recently I tried a Benelli M4 Shotgun from a friend equiped with a Burris red dot.I liked it.Very low profile and easy to remove.
This is the model:

Your third option is the most similar to Burris fast fire red dot. Also,if this works for LES´s 590 I think you must consider it.Being of similar price I would go for Burris.

after going back and forth on the mentioned 3 scopes i had it figured out that i will be getting the sightmark that LES uses and after reading more reviews on amazon and optic planet, it made my decision easy and move on to purchasing this model......

well.....that was until i finally got a reply back from optics planet (which i had previously asked them for a recommendation on a red dot scope before xmas, and they just got back to me today- - - - -i had actually forgot about it and that was why i posted this here)
but they recommended: bushnell trs-25 trophy 1x25 red dot
http://www.opticsplanet.com/bushnell-1x ... 31303.html

now it is rated pretty high in its reviews, but there was only 2 that mentioned a shotgun in its use out of all the reviews for it, although one did say it held true after about 25 slugs, but just not sold on it.
not even the specs says its shock resistance, unlike the sightmark which is rated up to a .50 cal per specs.

but in any case im really leaning to the sightmark for my red dot needs.
