I have a Taurus PT-738 .380 . I have had it for 13 or 14 years. I only shoot it couple of years or so. The reason being it just hurts my hand to do so. I have been thinking about something smaller, perhaps .25 or.32 auto. Does anyone have experience with either or both calibers ?

Meany, can't discuss either caliber but like you I have a .380 pocket pistol.

I've found that wrapping the grip with seveal layers of grip tape and one of those small mag extensions really changed my ability to control and use the gun.

Since it's only a backup gun I suspect if ever needed we wouldn't worry to much about it being uncomfortable.

There is today some really good .380 ammo as compared to decades ago.

Good luck!

The other thing you might look at adding is a magazine extension so you can get a three finger grip.

These guys make extensions for many brands and their products are usually available on Amazon and Ebay

I have either Pearce or Sherer pinky extensions for my G26, I forget which.
I also use X-grips on 15rd (G19) mags in my PF940SC (26 clone).

Thanks guys. I’ll check those. I still carry it with me and have no doubt if I needed it I wouldn’t hesitate.
