Question for April 2026

Multiple members of the U.S. House of Representatives have been accused of crimes. Will any of them actually be arrested and booked on charges .

Historically, government has always "taken care of it's own"....except when any such protection involves President Trump. My personal opinion is that 95% of congress...all of congress...is compromised. Bent. Crooked. Cryptocurrency is the best thing that has happened to the beltway insiders.
True exposure and actual consequences would mean 50% of the aforementioned 95% should hang. The remainder imprisoned or resigns.

But in all this is likely fantasy. I will be genuinely shocked if anything just and good happens.

Neither side of Congress has ever policed themselves and will never release the list of payouts for member committed abuse and misconduct.

Even worse is the members who have made millions while in office.

An the ethics committees of both sides is basically a joke. You don't police yourself.

What we really needed is term limitations and the inability to rerun until you sit out a full term.

This scumbag goes from $30 million to only $19,000 net wealth. Now who the F*CK believes THAT BS! Forget hanging, how about drawn and quartered? Or we can go with the theme and keel-haul her! :D

I'm really hoping that the Convention of States effort is successful in calling a constitutional convention whereby term limits can be made into law. SHORT term limits. Ideally it would be immediate. Any congressional barnacles having already served the limit...or over...would leave immediately. It would be a huge effort replacing them, but it might be the one thing that could reinstate the constitutional republic that the founders intended.

I wouldn't count on this happening although I agree in term limits, especially for the Supremes. And once the Constitution is "open", I can only imagine how badly the wackos will try to mold it into THEIR interpretation...

Good Plan to Consider

President - Elect to a single 6 years term, no future reelection.

Senator - Elect to a single 6 years term with no reelection unless they sit out a consective 6 year period. Senate election every third year so people elect a new Senator every three years.

Representive - Elect to a single 4 year term with no reelection unless they sit out a full four year term. No exchanging districts to get reelected after their serving term.

Federal and Supreme Court Judges - single 10 years term with no consective appointments at any level.

Term limits at all levels eliminate getting elected and immediately raising money for reelection

Elected officials at all leves should be prohibited from investing in companies and the stock market. Let them but U.S. Savings bonds with all their money.

I am certain a constitutional convention would be a circus. If the left were in power their primary concern would be to do away with the 2nd. Even if they weren’t in power I think the process would be a mess. I personally don’t think the constitution is the problem. We have school board elections that most people pay no attention to whatsoever, a morally corrupt and inept news media, and far too many people that vote for the candidate that promises them the most free stuff. Our public education system is controlled by unions that are out of control and power hungry. Let’s face it, students don’t care about the unions, and the unions don’t care about them.

I do like the idea of term limits. However my original question pertains to those that have broken the law. I am reasonably certain had I been accused by 4 or 5 women of sexual assault, harassment, and or rape I would be arrested, booked, mugshot taken, and would have to bond out. Same if I had stolen $5,000,000.00 of Covid money. These things rarely happen unless your name is Trump.

In lieu of what happened last night at the White House Correspondents Dinner I think we are even closer.

Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer, Chris Murphy, Gavin Newsom, Tim Walz. Jimmy Kimmel, Steven Colbert, Whoopi Goldberg , Hillary Clinton, and Joy Behar. These are some of the democrats spewing hate towards Trump on a daily basis, and of course the news media is glad to accommodate them.

Then you have the podcasters, Hassan Piker, Jen Psaki, And Michelle Obama to name a few more. Throw in Randi Weingarten while I’m at it.

These are the primary instigators it seems to me.

I hope we are arming the resistance in Iran.

On another note, Comey has been indicted again. I imagine he will claim the sea shells had no meaning to him. The four members of congress that were the news last week are now on the back burner for now. In the long run they will most likely fade off into the sunset only to resurface later as lobbyists.

This is a very difficult task. I AM hoping we are arming the Kurds as a "back way" in.

I could give a shit about Comey and his "threat" with the shells. IMO it is a waste of time to pursue it further. I don't think anyone will be trying to assassinate Trumpy over a "message" with shells. And yes, Comey knew exactly what "message" he was writing.
The USAG that SHOULD be pursued is Garland--he could and should be tried for treason! And throw Majerkass on the gallows next to him...

Good morning . Sunshine and 52 this morning. We’ll be teasing 70 again today. Not much going on other than getting my hair cut.

Have a great day and be safe.
