Sling Options for Mossb 500

Hey all

I'm looking at getting a sling for my Mossberg 500 Waterfowl Edition that I purchased during Cabelas Black Friday sale about 2 years ago. Looking for some opinions.

So I assume I need a magazine cap for the front attachment, does this usually come with a way to hook up to the butt of the gun? Any brands to stay away from? Looking for something that is durable, a quick disconnect would be a plus.

Also looking for suggestions for the sling. Looking for something simple, but effective. I also want it to flow good with the appearance of the gun. Do they have a sling that will match the mossy oak waterfowl camo? Or is my best bet black?

Welcome aboard.

Looks like the kits in your first two links come with all the hardware you would need to mount a sling. The kit in the third link has everything but the slind swivels, which can be found at most sporting goods stores or even your local WalMart. Uncle Mike's and Blackhawk are both very common and I haven't heard of any issues with either brand. I have a set of each and they've done the job well so far.

As far as the sling goes, it's hard to beat the function and simplicity of a basic two point. I have seen several in Mossy Oak and other varieties of camo at BassPro, Cabelas, etc. Most have simple spring tension clasp attachment points that allow for quickly and easily removal of the sling when necessary...
