Want to Polish Feed Ramp on MC2c

I am considering polishing the feed ramp on my Mossy MC2c pistol to improve feeding/chambering of critical defense hollow point ammo. Was wondering what is the dark factory finish that comes on the barrel & feed ramp? I assume it is some sort of mellonite or similar anti corrosion finish or maybe it is just blueing. Does it have any antifriction benefit? Was going to use a Dremel tool polishing wheel with jeweler's rouge or other polishing compound. Any suggestions or experience about this modification?

The finish is probably a Nitride coating which happens on the molecular level. Maybe a DLC--what does Mossberg say?
The coating will eventually wear away. Aside from what looks like a little chipping at the base of the ramp, it looks smooth to me. A close-up would help. Only remove enough to make it smooth. Sometimes a jeweler's file is more selective at removing roughness.
