A U.S. intelligence contractor charged with leaking a classified National Security Agency report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing late Thursday afternoon in Augusta, Georgia.

Reality Leigh Winner, 25, was indicted on Wednesday on charges that she removed classified material from a government facility in Georgia and handed it to a news agency while working as a contractor with Pluribus International Corp.

Winner's attorney said she intends to plead not guilty, NBC News reported on Wednesday. She is the first person charged with leaking classified information to the media under the administration of President Donald Trump, who has vowed to crack down on leakers.

The charges were announced less than an hour after The Intercept published a secret document from the NSA that provided technical details on what it said were Russian attempts to hack election officials and a voting machine firm before the presidential election in November.

While the charges do not name the publication, two U.S. officials with knowledge of the case confirmed that Winner was charged with leaking the NSA report to The Intercept.

THAT'S A GOOD PHOTO OF HER...I WONDER IF IT'S ON THE TRAITORS FACEBOOK PAGE !?

From an interview w/ Reality's step-father, Gary Davis:
'She's said, "All these women are in here [Lincoln County jail] for assault but they are all really, really nice." One woman is a meth addict and she's been trying to teach her yoga to help her relax.'

Alleged NSA Leaker May Have Had Plans to Release More...

AUGUSTA, Georgia — The intelligence industry contractor accused of giving journalists a top-secret report about Russian interference in the U.S. election pleaded not guilty in court Thursday — as federal prosecutors suggested that she may have had plans to leak more classified information.

Reality Leigh Winner, a 25-year-old government contractor who was working with the National Security Agency, pleaded not guilty to one count of "willful retention and transmission of national defense information" during a detention hearing in Augusta, Georgia, Thursday afternoon.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Solari said in court that Winner admitted she had leaked the top secret document "to a particular news agency she admired" — and said "she was underwhelmed with what Wikileaks had to offer."

"She couldn't understand why this document hadn't been leaked already," Solari said.

Prosecutors also said that during a recorded phone conversation with her mother, Winner said, "Mom, those documents. I screwed up."

Solari stressed that Winner referred to "documents" in the plural, and that federal agents were looking to see whether she may have stolen other classified information.

Prosecutors added that Winner allegedly had access to the dark web and had set up burner email accounts.

Agents found two notebooks in Winner's home, according to the prosecution.

In one, prosecutors allege that she wrote, "I want to burn the White House down."

On a page in one of the notebooks, prosecutors said, she listed the names of several Taliban and al Qaeda leaders, including Osama Bin Laden.

Winner's lawyer had told NBC News on Wednesday that she would enter a not guilty plea.

"My client is innocent until proven guilty and we plan to enter a plea of not guilty," defense attorney Titus Nichols told NBC News Wednesday afternoon.
Winner was indicted by a grand jury on one count of willful retention and transmission of national defense information earlier Wednesday, according to court documents.

She was being held in a Lincoln County jail while awaiting her detention hearing.

In court Thursday, Winner's parents testified about her character as a judge determined whether or not she would be released on bail.

Her mother, Billie Winner-Davis, told NBC News on Tuesday that Winner "would not jeopardize anybody's safety" and was "terrified" when she returned to her home in Augusta on Saturday to find federal agents waiting for her.

She said that despite the allegations against her daughter, she remains "a proud mom ... I have every reason to be proud of that girl."

Winner was arrested Saturday, but the Justice Department announced she had been taken into custody on Sunday, barely an hour after online publication The Intercept published a report containing the highly classified NSA document.

The publication's report described new details about Russian efforts to hack voting systems in the United States a week prior to the 2016 presidential election.
While the document doesn't say the hacking changed any votes, the publication said it "raises the possibility that Russian hacking may have breached at least some elements of the voting system, with disconcertingly uncertain results."

The criminal complaint against Winner did not link the charge against her with the story, but a senior federal official confirmed to NBC News that Winner is the accused leaker of the document published by The Intercept. The NSA has a large facility in Georgia.

Well Traitor...you wanted Reality...NOW you got Reality !!

Wait...it gets better:

WikiLeaks Declares War on The Intercept

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange told The Daily Beast he holds reporters—not just the Trump administration—responsible for the arrest of a U.S. intelligence contractor charged with leaking classified information.

On Monday, the Justice Department said Reality Winner, a 25-year-old National Security Agency contractor, sent top secret information to a news outlet. The announcement came shortly after The Intercept published a series of NSA documents claiming that Russian hackers targeted a voting-software supplier and local election officials just prior to Election Day.

According to the affidavit, reporters for the unnamed news organization provided a copy of the printed NSA report to the agency in order to seek comment. The NSA claimed six people had printed out the report including Winner, who the agency said had been in contact with an unnamed news outlet.

“If the FBI affidavit is accurate the reporter concerned must be named, shamed and fired by whomever they work for to maintain industry standards,” Assange said via Twitter direct message through the WikiLeaks account on Tuesday.

“Source burning reporters are a menace,” he said. “They chill trust in all journalists which impedes public understanding.”

WikiLeaks offered a $10,000 reward for information “leading to the public exposure & termination” of the reporter.

“It seems likely that the FBI affidavit refers to The Intercept, but not certain, hence we say ‘suspected Intercept reporter,’ said Assange. “But whomever this reporter was they are a menace not only to sources but to all journalists by decreasing the trust between sources and journalist and ultimately the public. Democracy dies in darkness.”

Assange’s defense of leaking NSA documents that accuse Russia of interfering in the U.S. election is in contrast to his statement last year that he was “1,000 percent confident” Russia did not give WikiLeaks hacked Democratic National Committee emails. While Assange did not comment on the content of the leaks, he defended the alleged leaker Monday night.

As for The Intercept, it said in a statement Tuesday that it has “no knowledge of the identity of the person who provided us with the document,” before adding “the U.S. government has told news organizations that Winner was that individual.”

“While the FBI’s allegations against Winner have been made public through the release of an affidavit and search warrant, which were unsealed at the government’s request, it is important to keep in mind that these documents contain unproven assertions and speculation designed to serve the government’s agenda and as such warrant skepticism,” The Intercept’s statement reads.

The Intercept added it will not make further comments at this time.

With President Donald Trump’s call to prosecute leakers, WikiLeaks and Assange find themselves opposing the man who once said, “I love WikiLeaks.”

The Trump administration has already capitalized on the incompetence or treachery of this reporter by gloating about her arrest in press release hours after the Intercept story broke,” Assange said. “Such press releases are designed to deter future sources.”

On his personal Twitter account, Assange expressed support for Winner’s actions, saying “she is a young women [sic] accused of courage in trying to help us know.”

The Intercept was launched in 2014 initially for the purposes of publishing documents released by Edward Snowden. They have faced criticism from WikiLeaks before.

In 2014, The Intercept published a story about the NSA’s recording of cell phone calls from the Bahamas and WikiLeaks took issue with the publication redacting Afghanistan in its report.

This woman's parents are using the Kathy Griffin line of reasoning. They are trying to make her out the victim.

Her stepdad uses the excuse that she served her country in the air force, and that somehow should excuse her actions. With his line of reasoning serving in the military would give anyone the greenlight to commit crimes for the rest of their life. I wonder what she has gotten away with up to this point in time.

Sorry Dad.
Because your little traitor served in our military makes her more of a criminal.

It's like if your doctor gave you a disease on purpose fool!

Well it gets worse and worse for little reality.

Fox news reports now that she wanted to burn down the White House and join the Taliban.

Hell, forget the trial. Just drop her in a cell with some of those Taliban guys from Gitmo & let her get to really know them.

Accused NSA leaker wrote she wanted 'to burn the White House Down'

Federal prosecutors say investigators found a journal in the home of suspected NSA leaker Reality Leigh Winner in which it appears she wrote, "I want to burn the White House Down."

The revelation came at a hearing in U.S. District Court in Augusta, Ga., on Thursday in which a federal judge ordered Winner held without bail. Earlier this week, she was charged with leaking classified U.S. intelligence documents to the website The Intercept.

Winner allegedly wrote "I want to burn the White House Down ... find somewhere in Kurdistan to live. Ha-ha!” assistant U.S. attorney Jennifer Solari told a federal judge.

On another page in one of the notebooks found by investigators, prosecutors said, Winner listed the names of several Taliban and al-Qaeda leaders, including Osama bin Laden. Her writings also included plans to travel to Afghanistan.

Prosecutors added Winner, 25, might try to flee the U.S. if she were released on bail. "She would undoubtedly be a target of recruitment from our adversaries," Solari told Judge Brian Epps, according to NBC News.

The former Air Force linguist, who was working as a government contractor for Pluribus International Corp., is accused of leaking classified documents that the website The Intercept used to publish a report claiming Russian military intelligence hacked a Florida voting software company and attempted to gain access to voter information by sending a “spear-fishing” email to more than 100 local election officials shortly before the November election.

Winner has pleaded not guilty to one count of "willful retention and transmission of national defense information.” If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison.

She allegedly accessed the classified documents, printed them and mailed the information to the news organization.

Solari also said a laptop belonging to Winner and seized by federal agents contained software that could enable her to access online black-markets and buy items — such as a fake ID or passport — without revealing her identity or location. In addition to the notebooks and laptops, investigators seized a Defense Department-issued country book on Iran, several electronic devices and a U.S. passport belonging to Winner, according to a search warrant.

"We don't know how much more she knows and how much more she remembers," Solari said during the hearing, according to the Associated Press. "But we do know she's very intelligent. So she's got a lot of valuable information in her head."

Prosecutors said that while in jail, Winner spoke with her mother, who asked her, "Do you know why you were arrested?"

"Mom, it's those documents," she responded, the feds say. "I screwed up."

You sure did Traitor !!
