3" 12 ga. shells out of my 20" HD shotgun.

I just had to try it. :D

Picked up 25 Winchester 3" steel BB shot (1550 fps!) shells and 15 Winchester 3" 15 pellet 00 buck shells. I just pleasantly surprised at the BB shot. It didn't kick as badly as I was bracing for.

However, 15 of those 3" 00 buck shells was all I wanted. Follow up shots were definitely hindered, as least for me. At first, it was a chore just to hang on to the forearm. I don't think a 20" Maverick is meant to be much of a deer hunting gun. ;)

The BB shot rounds made a lasting impression (pun intended) on the 1/4 steel I was shooting at. I suspect they would make a pretty decent HD round, for the price. The 25 rounds of it only cost me $12. Take care. Tom Worthington.

lol I read the title as 12 gauge 3" out of my 20 gauge.. I was like:

"OH NO!! NO NO NO!!!"

But I was intrigued and read on lol. 3" is a good jump from 2-3/4" :p
