500 12g cartridge stop, how many differant ones are there

well, hope you don't hurt yerself as I do at times !

this looks like what I have. shows the bend to near a 90 or 80 deg bend and you can see the end is flat as I mentioned. that edge left were the shell goes bye is not conducive to easy or smooth loading. so I filed the edge that is on the inside.

ok, not the best but for sure you get the idea. the part I filed doesn't show up well but just assume I filed off the sharpish inner edge..

went again to dicks and looked at a new 500 12g shotgun. there may be something wrong with my eyes but I swear it looks something in between the two styles pictured here so far. but for sure it is not close to the one pictured in the pics I posted.

The only thing I can think of is maybe Mossberg has a few different companies making them and they might LOOK different.???

one would think they are supposed to be made to specs. and for sure they are different rather than just looking different.
as I said, the one in my 500 worked fine but just lacked that smoothness one would expect. my filing off the edge has
now made it acceptable. thus my interest in this whole subject.
