Anyone try any of these?

http://www.dixieslugs.com/

They have a 2 slugs, a 730 grainer and a 870 grainer. Both are moving along pretty quickly in spite of their ponderous weights. In addition, the slugs are hard cast lead and not meant for barrels with chokes. I know most on this forum are more into defensive ammo, but I cannot imagine a better slug to stuff in your shotgun in big bear country.

They also have a tri-ball load that consists of 3 .600" diameter balls acting as a sort of buckshot load.

I know I have heard of them nut have never purchased anything. How are their prices?

I would LOVE to try the IXL-DGS slugs.

But not as loaded smoothbore ammo which is $12.50 for FIVE loaded rounds.

Ain't happening.

The website says I can buy the slugs as components, but I'm not finding that option.

Thank you for the link, Gumby. I've bookmarked it for future reference.

They look not bad, though I haven't even heard of such. Would be glad to hear some feedback about them, too.
