The forearm is. I'll take it apart this evening. Make sure nothings crooket. ThanksAre you sure the slide action is completely "in battery"?

I'll take it apart and check that this evening. Thanks.Check that the lugs on the elevator that secure it at the rear of the action are both in the little holes properly and that the legs on the elevator or not bent.
You might have to take it out and straighten the legs and reattach it.
The shell won't come over the elevator. The elevator will not depress, it is resting on the bolt slide. I prefer to unload the proper way. Safetys can fail and accidents can happen. I'd hate to tell my wife why I've got to replace a thermopane window or patch holes in the wall or buy a new dog.View attachment 26676 View attachment 26677 Marvel, I can make my shotguns (M500 and M590A1) do this as well. My question to you is why are you pressing the cartridge stop? If it’s for unloading then all you need to do is give the shell a light pull upward with with your finger to get it over the elevator. There is nothing wrong with your shotgun.
Personally I unload my Mossy pump guns by just cycling the action with the safety switch in the safe position. I position the shotgun such that the shells eject right into a soft bag or landing area.
The M590 is a different story.
by taking the elevator out and filing a slight bevel on the end where it is catching helps. somewhere in this forum is a great posting on doing just that to help unloading.
