Flushing out a new gun

I got a Plinkster for Christmas and have run about 700 rounds through it without cleaning it (just sprayed with oil).
I tore it down today and the bolt was full of crud and sandy grit.
I wiped it and rinsed it some..even used some compressed air..

But when I put it back together I could hear and feel grit in the trigger and the bolt.
Will have to REALLY rinse it out to get it right.

I'm thinking I will either use non chlorinated Break Parts cleaner and soak it in little tubs and rinse, or I might try Simple Green or Mineral Spirits.

You've basically answered you own question...all or part of what you said will work.

If there are any aluminum parts on or in the gun, please don't use simple green on it.

Some of the ingredients in simple green are corrosive to aluminum.

I believe the mineral spirits may be the best bet, though I've heard of people using parts cleaner too. You may need something you can spray through a tube to get it thoroughly cleaned out.
