Anyone have any experience with an old haskell js 45? My buddy has one for sale he got from a buddy of his when he bought his collection of guns. He also has a nice Mossberg 22 and old stevens sxs 12 g (mine now )
But, I'm just wondering is it worth an investment of $100? it looks to chrome or something. It's heavy and square looking....kind of ugly, but interestingly attractive to me....
(i'll get pix of up later on) But it looks like this...

(The one he has actually says Haskell on the side, whereas the pic says model js....)
Thoughts?

No personal experience, but a brand new Hi-Point JHP45 is only $160.

As I understand it Haskell Mfg, along with Stallard Arms (pictured above), and Iberia Firearms were all consolidated by Beemiller Inc. into the Hi-Point brand name in the early 90's...
