Hi I am looking to blue my barrel on my 100 ATR .270 any tips on how to remove the barell right or left handed threads. i scratched my barrel up last year walking through a brush patch and i want to bule it before it rusts. also any tips on how to remove the flat black coating that is originally applied by Mossberg?

Thanks for the Help

Welcome aboard jclark,

The threads should be right hand. Just a heads-up, disassembling the barrel yourself will void your factory warranty. Your call of course, but I figured it was worth put'n it out there. As far as removing the factory finish you can use this...

Birchwood Casey Blue and Rust Remover

Some cotton balls, a little steel wool, and a mask (this stuff stinks) and you'll have the barrel naked in no time. Used it on a 1911 barrel of mine and it worked like a charm...
