IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR GUN RIGHTS, READ THIS AND PLEASE ACT!!

GOVERNMENTS USE CORPORATIONS TO DO THEIR DIRTY WORK AND WE AS CONSUMERS AND GUN OWNERS DO HAVE POWER, IF WE STICK TOGETHER!!

I'm starting a new thread as things will continue to develop. There are posts in other threads that pertain but I'm sure there will be lots more to come as there are numerous legal challenges that have been launched.

The most recent development is that IBM has accepted a contract to start the planning of the "buyback" scheme. I am going to post a form letter that was forwarded on to me and that I modified from Canada's National Firearms Association and is intended to be sent to the CEO of IBM Canada. I'll be sending mine ASAP.

I encourage all my brothers (and sisters) here to support your Canadian cousins in this VERY important fight. Feel free to write to the CEO of IBM Canada and feel free to write to the CEO in the USA and express your disdain for them getting on the gun grabbin' train. Put these guys on BLAST and feel free to pass this on to every gun organization you know.

EDIT: Updated - New President of IBM Canada and contact info for IBM CEO (US)

Mr. Arvind Krishna - Chairman and CEO, IBM
    International Business Machines Corporation
Mail Drop 390, New Orchard Road
    Armonk, NY
    10504 USA

    Mr. Claude Guay
President and General Manager IBM Canada
    3600 Steeles Ave.
    E. Markham, ON L3R 9Z7

    Dear Mr. Guay,

Subject: IBM Canada Helps Liberal Government Steal Property

It has been announced that IBM Canada has chosen to accept a contract from the Trudeau government to design a so-called "buyback" of legally owned firearms. This absolutely amounts to legislated theft of property from innocent people.

Yes, theft. One cannot "buyback" what was NEVER theirs and is indeed theft as the Trudeau government does not have any money of its' own. In fact, they will use my tax dollars and those of EVERY Canadian to pay your firm's fees and to attempt to pay off firearms owners for what was and never will be morally "theirs", and this personally affects me. I purchased my firearms legally and in good faith.

Previous companies invited by the Liberal government to tender bids declined to do so. I am shocked to see IBM participate in the unwarranted seizure of property. I find it repugnant that your firm would be so willingly complicit in performing the dirty work of this corrupt Prime Minister and his cronies.

For my part, I will be reviewing my investment portfolio and looking to dump IBM, and advocate that it be removed from any group pensions that I may be involved in. I will research and seek to boycott in perpetuity any products or services affiliated with IBM and will inform and encourage everyone I know to do the same.

As an affected person, I urge you to end your involvement in this outrageous, capricious and authoritarian legislative program.

    Yours truly,

    John Q. Gunowner

Often when I receive "offers in the mail" I will save the postage paid envelope. You gave me an idea how to use them.

John A. came across this little gem as well, which if true is proof of collusion between Canadian and US law enforcement agencies and that barring even temporary importation of certain (now banned) firearms from Canada could speak to a potentially wider and yet unannounced firearms scheme in the US.

What would be the fear or purpose of blocking banned Canadian firearms to a place where they are not banned (...not yet...)? Are the US authorities just waiting for the changing of the guard at the White House?

I don't want to spread lies or rumors but this is very concerning and would be incumbent on US citizens concerned about their 2A rights to start digging into this from the inside. As Canadians, non-citizens we do not have access like US citizens to find out what's up.

This smacks of collusion and should give every US gun owner reason to stop and think and wonder just what the heck is going on here......

Someone either in a post or signature said on this forum, and I will paraphrase, "you can vote socialism in but it takes guns to remove it". Well, on November 3rd the U.S. Voted it in.

Just look at the cancel culture at work already against the senators and congressmen who challenged the results. I would not be surprised if the left tries to pass a resolution essentially saying there was not a Trump presidency. Now all of a sudden the democrats are concerned about violence.

This impeachment was so fast, no investigation needed, to make sure they could get in one last jab. Now the actions of a few are being used against literally millions. Trump supporters are being painted as anarchist with an extremely broad brush.

Where was the outrage this past year by the democrats when cities were being burned down and the democrat mayors and governors did NOTHING ? NOTHING. There actions now show their true colors, YELLOW, except when demonstrators showed up at their front door.

I cleaned this up before I posted it. Took the Fs and MFs out of it.

These idiots think January 6 was all about an election. They never acknowledged the vile hate the left and the media spewed for the past 5 years. They never acknowledged that Hilary lost. They spied, they cheated, they made up crap (Russia collusion), had a special counsel investigation which was phony from day one. They had CNN having guests (Adam Schiff, James Clapper, John Brennan, James Comey), all liars on day after day. Talk about sedition or an insurrection, all of those people should be in prison.

Well, this is all old new so I'll end my rant.

Sorry about getting so far off subject. I just think what is going on in the U.S. and Canada on many levels.

You're not wrong @meanstreak . The cancel culture of which you speak is a direct result of the internet outrage mobs (& media coverage of such) that apply pressure to businesses and individuals to walk back their views / actions in light of falling out of favor and suffering, ongoing public scorn. The end result usually means one of two things, either they swallow their morals, recant their views and "straighten up" or suffer the end of a career (usually) and worse depending on the seriousness of the accusations. Further to the cancel culture is the constant "gaslighting" of the public by the media hounds. This isn't a term that gets tossed about on this forum very often but it is a relatively new member of the obfuscation "family" of deception descriptors. Unfortunately, it most often is used against us (the silent majority) and is often leveled against us an accusation, but nothing could be further from the truth, which by definition is the whole point.

The Oxford Dictionary describes it as this:
    gas·light
    /ˈɡaslīt/

    verb
    gerund or present participle: gaslighting
    1. manipulate (someone) by psychological means into questioning their own sanity

When the media and public personalities constantly tell you that what you are seeing is not what you are seeing, that is being gaslighted. Just one example, the whole "FIERY, BUT MOSTLY PEACEFUL PROTESTS" baloney shoveled at us all summer long. For the Canadians here on the board and anyone who follows Canadian politics, what Trudeau did to his own female, Indigenous Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould and the entire country by default is classic gaslighting. The public scorn speeches Trudeau is famous for in his first four years are also classic gaslighting, but on a grand scale. Making people question their own sense of reality and replacing it with something else, that better serves the 'gaslighter' rather than the 'gaslightee'...truly diabolical. EDIT: Gaslighting is not exclusive to any particular group or school of thought either.

So, long story short we are all up against this massive "gaslighting" machine called the mainstream media and their chosen ones, our political leaders. I remember my Dad telling me of a book that was written quite a long time ago (and I wish I could remember more) but it was talking essentially how all the newspaper magnates and their wealthy cronies of yesteryear were the ones choosing candidates for President and other offices in government...what I'm saying is, this isn't new. It's just taken a twist and somewhere, someone has decided to change the paradigm of our societies without our consent.

EDIT: I used to take the whole NWO thing pretty lightly and thought if true it would be so obvious. I'm afraid I've changed my mind on that and I think now we're actually in it. It's begun and it's start wasn't this election...it's been happening for decades.

I felt another example would be apt...well I found a whole website dedicated to tracking "lies" and calling traditional values lies and gaslighting...this is the purest form of what we "traditionalists" are up against. This website is gaslighting in it's purest form.

Cm, I checked that site. I'm going back in and check it more in depth. I read an article today that talked about the U.S. moving from what the author called the 4Fs to the 4Gs.

Freedom, family, free enterprise, and faith are giving way to government, groups, grants and grabs, and godlessness.
