Anyone knows the diameter and length of the dowel in the mag ? I can get wood dowl rods at a hobby shop and O rings and work. There cheap enough I can make my own. Thanks in advance for any advice.BTW it's for a 500 shotgun.
I think it is 7"x1/4" but don't quote me on that. I'm not near my 500 parts at the moment to verify. Assuming you are talking about the 5-round tube and not the 7-rounder as found in the 20" barrel models which would not usually be used for hunting, anyway...
Made a quick trip to Lowe's and got a 4' section of dowel in 1/4" for only. 96 cents! That will make a few magazine plugs. Cut to length and O rings and I've got all I need. Thanks for the help.
I had this dowel in my parts bin. I get 9"x1/4". I'm pretty sure it is out of a 5-shot tube. That would make sense as 3x3" shells = 9" (to limit total rounds to maximum 2+1).
