Are there any negative opinions of Mossberg Marinecote?

Well it's harder to touch up than regular Bluing. It's more scratch resistant but as soon as you scratch it it will Rust.

I have the fancy Cowboy model with Marine coat and too much Marine coat inside the receiver. I polished a bunch of it out before the gun ran well.

I might expect some extended break in time depending on how good a job they did.

That's interesting. It gives a gun a very classy look, but it may be the wrong finish for a hard use truck gun. I think I may be best with bluing. Thanks.

Well as long as you keep it oiled, all the scratches stay silver and then they match the gun; but if you let it get dry they turn rusty and then you gotta buff.
