I got a Plano “All Weather” case today. It’s the “pluck to fit” type. I think it will suffice.

That looks like a well built case. How heavy is the case ?

It feels pretty sturdy. I’m not sure what it weighs exactly, but it’s a bit of a load with my gun in there. I found the “package specs” and it says it’s a 14.5 lb package. My gun probably weighs 7 lbs.

If I were to remove more foam to make places to store other items do y’all think it would affect the rigidity and how tight it “hugs” the rifle?
I’m toying with the idea of removing some foam for a pistol and a knife.
Would less total foam equate to a less protected weapon?

I had a similar case years ago and kept my Glenfield pump 20 and my T/C Renegade .54 cal in it. Worked just fine and I wish i had never traded it off.

Plano is solid stuff, good enough for 99% of anything most people would ever do with it. If you are not running around the world on Spec Op missions...should be just fine. :)
