Obama's Corruption Chronicles:

. . . requiring voters to provide a government-issued ID to vote discriminates against minorities because they are either too poor or too ignorant to get one . . . Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, calls voter ID laws a “full-scale assault” on minority voters designed to “rig” elections. . . .

B.S. of the nth degree. This jackazz must think people are terminally stupid.

Any poor person in America who is on welfare already has an ID. Without an ID they don't eat, OK?

They show that same ID to vote.

If you want stupid people to vote for you, then get out there and knock on the doors and educate these dumb voters you want to court. That's your right if you're not too lazy to do it.
It is NOT the government's business to do that for you or them.

It's not your right to let criminals vote illegally. It's not your right to promote that practice either.
Penalties for illegal voting or promoting illegal voting should be very stiff IMO.

Big signs outside polling places should proclaim the felonious nature of the crime and the serious penalties against it.
In sixteen languages if necessary.

U.S. Failed 3 Times to Deport Illegal Alien Who Murdered Woman
FEBRUARY 18, 2016

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Inspector General has reluctantly agreed to “investigate” how the agency could possibly fail to deport an illegal immigrant with a serious criminal record at least three times, allowing him to murder a young woman in Connecticut. Pressure from the state’s congressional delegation landed the probe on the busy watchdog’s lengthy list of “ongoing projects” so interested parties shouldn’t hold their breath for answers.

Before delving into the details of this gruesome case, it’s important to mention that Connecticut has long protected illegal immigrants with sanctuary policies and even offers them special drivers’ licenses, known as Drive Only. The state also gives illegal aliens discounted tuition at public colleges and universities and authorities work hard to restrict the feds from deporting illegal immigrants. In fact, despite President Obama’s amnesty and open-borders policies, Connecticut is always a step ahead when it comes to protecting illegal immigrants and granting them rights. Undoubtedly, this attracts a large population of undocumented aliens like the murderer in this case.

Nevertheless, DHS has a duty to remove dangerous foreigners who pose a threat regardless of local policies shielding the perpetrators. In this case the outrageous negligence on the part of federal immigration authorities permitted a Haitian national (Jean Jacques) to brutally stab a woman in her apartment, leaving her body inside a closet. The heinous crime occurred last summer and sketchy information of how the government repeatedly dropped the ball has slowly been uncovered by local media outlets that, not surprisingly, have encountered strong resistance in obtaining substantial details. This led Connecticut’s two U.S. Senators and a congressman—all Democrats—to hound the DHS IG into investigating the matter. The watchdog recently added the case to its long docket, perhaps to appease the incensed lawmakers, media and local citizens.

Here’s what we already know from local media reports in Norwich, the city of about 40,000 residents where the murder occurred; the DHS agency responsible for deporting illegal immigrants, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), failed to remove Jacques at least three times dating back to 2002. As if this weren’t atrocious enough, Jacques spent 17 years in prison for attempted murder before authorities released him—instead of deporting him—in January of 2015, the Norwich Bulletin reports. Six months later the 41-year-old illegal alien convict stabbed 25-year-old Casey Chadwick to death. Police said Chadwick died of sharp forced injuries to the head and neck. Jacques is being held on a $1 million bond.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case. In the last few years illegal immigrants with lengthy criminal histories have been allowed to remain in the U.S. despite being repeat offenders. Judicial Watch has investigated several of the cases and obtained public records from the government. For instance, back in 2008 JW launched a California public records request with the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department to obtain he arrest and booking information on Edwin Ramos, an illegal alien from El Salvador who murdered three innocent American citizens. Ramos was a member of a renowned violent street gang and had been convicted of two felonies as a juvenile (a gang-related assault on a bus passenger and the attempted robbery of a pregnant woman) yet he was allowed to remain in the country.

Judicial Watch also investigated the 2010 case of a drunken illegal alien who killed a nun in Virginia and sued DHS to obtain records. The Bolivian national, Carlos Montano, had a criminal history but federal authorities released him on his own recognizance after two previous arrests. JW’s probe determined that Monatno had a revoked license and had previously been arrested on drunk-driving charges when his car crossed a median and slammed into a vehicle carrying three nuns. The two survivors were critically injured. Local police said they had turned Montano over to ICE after at least one of his arrests, but he never got deported.

Well known for supporting illegal immigrant rights, the Connecticut lawmakers are only demanding answers because Chadwick’s murder occurred in their backyard. In fact, both senators helped block a bill last year that would have stripped federal policing grants from sanctuary cities and states like Connecticut. Now they’re getting the runaround from ICE which has responded to their “repeated inquiries” in an “incomplete and unsatisfactory” manner, according to a joint announcement. The lawmakers also blast ICE, stating that it is “unacceptable” that the agency failed to remove the Haitian illegal alien considering his criminal record. Perhaps if states like Connecticut didn’t offer illegal immigrants sanctuary this case and many others like it nationwide wouldn’t exist.

Acceptance of Mistakes, Credible Desire to Not Repeat Them Gets Taliban Terrorist Out of Gitmo
FEBRUARY 22, 2016

In the frantic effort to close the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo the Obama administration keeps freeing the world’s most dangerous terrorists, this month a Taliban soldier who served as Osama bin Laden’s bodyguard. The Yemeni, Majid Mahmud Abdu Ahmed, will be released to an Arabic-speaking country with “appropriate security assurances” and “reintegration support,” according to the Periodic Review Board (PRB) created by the president to clear out the compound at the U.S. military base in southeast Cuba.

“The Periodic Review Board, by consensus, determined that continued law of war detention of the detainee is no longer necessary to protect against a continuing significant threat to the security of the United States,” the board’s Unclassified Summary of Final Determination states. “In making this determination, the Board noted the detainee’s relative candor in discussing his time in Afghanistan, acceptance of the mistakes he made, and a credible desire to not repeat those mistakes. Further, the board considered the detainee’s age when he went to Afghanistan and having matured since entering detention, the detainee’s compliance while in detention at Guantanamo, and that the detainee has taken opportunities to educate himself while at Guantanamo.”

Ahmed’s Department of Defense (DOD) profile says that he’s a high risk detainee likely to pose a threat to the U.S., its interests and allies and that he’s of high intelligence value. “Detainee is a member of al-Qaida and a bodyguard for Usama Bin Laden (UBL),” the DOD profile says. “Detainee participated in armed hostilities against US and Coalition forces in Afghanistan and admitted fighting for the Taliban on the front lines against the Northern Alliance for two years. Detainee was captured with a group referred to as the Dirty 30 which included UBL bodyguards and a 20th 11 September 2001 hijacker while escaping hostilities during Operation Enduring Freedom.” The profile further says that Ahmed’s comments about America, Bin laden and his willingness to die for jihad indicate he will pose a significant threat if released. Ahmed was captured by Pakistani forces while attempting to cross the Afghanistan-Pakistan border near Parachinar after fleeing to UBL’s Tora Bora Mountain complex, according to the DOD.

Ahmed’s pending release makes him the 35th terrorist that Obama’s PRB has recently approved for transfer to a foreign country. The compound still holds 91 of the world’s most dangerous terrorists, including 9/11 masterminds Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), Ramzi Binalshibh, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi as well as Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the Al-Qaeda terrorist charged with orchestrating the 2000 attack on the Navy destroyer USS Cole. Last fall Defense Secretary Ashton Carter proclaimed that around half of the Gitmo detainees need to be locked up “indefinitely” even as his boss works to shut down the facility. The administration has considered relocating the captives to military facilities in the U.S., including Ft. Leavenworth in Kansas and the Navy Brig in Charleston, South Carolina. This has ignited outrage among officials in both states.

In the meantime, Obama’s PRB is on a parole frenzy releasing even some of the most wanted terrorists it had previously refused to discharge. Judicial Watch reported on one of the unbelievable cases over the summer. It involves a senior Al Qaeda operative and bin Laden advisor who had been denied parole by the PRB before the board did an about-face. The Kuwaiti national, Faez Mohammed Ahmed al-Kandari, had been a prisoner at Gitmo since 2002, has a history of participating in violent militant Islamic activities, poses a high-risk threat to the United States, has numerous connections to senior Al Qaeda members and was an influential religious figure for Al Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan. Al-Kandari also provided ideological training at the al-Faruq camp and the Islamic Institute in Kandahar and served as a propagandist who produced and distributed multimedia recruitment material and wrote newspaper articles paying tribute to the 9/11 hijackers.

Nevertheless, in July the PRB granted al-Kandari another parole hearing which Judicial Watch covered live via circuit television from a DOD facility in Crystal City, Virginia. High-level sheikhs from Kuwait’s government were present, reportedly to negotiate al-Kandari’s release. They included multiple diplomats, members of the government-run wire service Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), and the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States, all advocating for al-Kandari’s release. Al-Kandari was the last Kuwaiti prisoner at Gitmo and Middle Eastern news agencies had reported on the Arab nation’s mission to bring him home. In fact, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah traveled to Washington to push for al-Kandari’s release shortly before Obama caved into the request.

Yeah, it's a very temporary relief.

Also I never figured out why we have a prison for terrorists in the Caribbean. Why is it not in Alaska somewhere?

You put a prison out on the tundra and nobody escapes. There's no place to hide for 100 miles.

BTW I looked it up and federal voter fraud gets you $10,000 and 5 years in the pen, per incident.

That should be posted large at the polls. It should be on TV.

I also read that half (55% of males & 49% of females ) of the black folks in Michigan are too hard up or too incapable to get an ID card, & so that makes it immoral to require voter ID.

They are, however, somehow able to get signed up for public welfare. 39% Of the black folks in Michigan are on the dole.

Government Hired, Rewarded Vegas Killer Lakeisha Holloway after Putting Her through At-Risk Youth Program
FEBRUARY 24, 2016

The federal employee who killed a woman and injured dozens by plowing her car into pedestrians on the Las Vegas Strip was handsomely rewarded by the government and touted as a great success who overcame drug addiction and homelessness via a taxpayer-funded program for at-risk youth, according to records obtained by Judicial Watch.

Her name is Lakeisha Holloway and in December she went on a deadly rampage, repeatedly ramming her 1996 Oldsmobile into pedestrians strolling along the sidewalk on the renowned Las Vegas Strip. Holloway was high on marijuana and her 3-year-old daughter was in the back seat. More than 30 people were injured and a 32-year-old mother of three, walking with one of her children, was killed. Las Vegas authorities said Holloway acted deliberately and video from the scene showed that she intentionally swerved back and forth from the street to the busy sidewalk. The 24-year-old has been charged with murder and child abuse and is scheduled to appear in court on March 11 for a competency hearing, according to Clark County records obtained by Judicial Watch.

Not long ago Holloway worked for Uncle Sam after American taxpayers helped her clean up her act. Once a homeless drug-addict in Oregon, she was rewarded with a stable taxpayer-funded job after going through a special program, largely funded with government grants, for at-risk youth. Records obtained by Judicial Watch show that Holloway received grade and pay increases from the government, a cash bonus and special accommodations in her work schedule so she could attend school. Holloway also got a transfer within the agency she worked for, the U.S. Forest Service. The agency hired her as an Office Automation Clerk in the Fire and Aviation Management branch in Portland at the end of September 2009, the records obtained by Judicial Watch show. Holloway’s annual salary was $22,454.

Three months later Holloway got a pay increase thanks to an executive order signed by President Obama granting annual pay raises to federal employees. That bumped her salary to $24,090, the records show. Prior to that, Holloway’s salary had already been increased to $23,608 from $22,454 for reasons that are unclear. Within months Holloway was moved to permanent status because her probationary period had expired. In less than a year however, she went back to part-time status, working 16 hours per week to accommodate her school schedule. In 2011 Holloway received a $371 cash award performance bonus and in 2012 a grade increase and raise in base annual pay to $26,284.

Holloway left the Forest Service under mysterious conditions at the end of May 2012, the documents reveal. She resigned for reasons that are redacted in the records and was rewarded with a lump sum pay-out for unused leave. It’s evident from the information that hasn’t been redacted in the records that the government went out of its way to help and accommodate Holloway and increase her pay in a very short period of time. If she had remained with the agency, it seems likely that she would have quickly climbed the ladder to a top position and salary.

After all, the government invested a lot in Holloway. She was promoted as a great success after completing a program run by a Portland nonprofit called Opportunities Industrialization Center that receives millions of dollars in government grants. The group trains uneducated and underemployed minority adults to enter the workforce and helps disadvantaged youth failing in the area’s public school system. Youths in “high-risk family situations” are especially targeted and Holloway was a prime candidate. In a promotion video featuring Holloway after completing the government-funded program she proclaims that she’s come a long way. “I managed to land a federal job at 21,” Holloway says in the segment. “Now that’s what I call living a grand life.” A few years after proudly explaining how she turned her life around, Holloway sits behind bars in Cook County, Nevada.

Water Amnesty for Illegal Aliens in Flint, Michigan
FEBRUARY 26, 2016

Caving into the demands of the open borders movement and pro-immigrant Spanish media, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will refrain from enforcing immigration laws in areas of Flint, Michigan affected by a water crisis. The water amnesty is the latest of many reprieves issued by the Obama administration to help illegal immigrants nationwide. Judicial Watch has reported on many of them, including recent hurricane, earthquake, Ebola and “severe weather” amnesties.

This one involves the widely reported water situation in Flint, which is located about 66 miles northwest of Detroit. Last year researchers discovered that the city’s drinking water was contaminated with lead from decaying old pipes. The problem arose after a switch in 2014 in the city’s water source to save money. Soon complaints mounted that the water smelled and looked strange and academic researchers discovered that it was toxic. This all occurred after a 7-1 vote by the Flint City Council to stop buying Detroit water and join a new pipeline project, according to a local news report.

Now there’s a state of emergency and the feds have stepped in, supplying the area with free bottled water and special filters to install at home until the local water supply is clean. For weeks immigrant rights groups complained that residents had to show identification to receive their free goods from the government and illegal aliens were being left out. National Spanish-language media outlets blasted the Obama administration for discriminating against illegal aliens. One reported that undocumented immigrants weren’t getting help for fear of being deported, instead opting to drink contaminated water or pay out of pocket to buy some.

Another major Spanish-language newspaper wrote that illegal immigrants and their children suffered lead poisoning and couldn’t get clean emergency water because they didn’t have identification cards. “When the National Guard went door to door distributing potable water, many were scared to open because they feared the uniformed persons were immigration agents who would deport them,” the paper wrote.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which claims to combat bigotry and protect civil rights for all, joined the cause expressing “horror” and “indignation” that the government denied undocumented immigrants free water and filters because they couldn’t provide a photo ID or Social Security number. In a Spanish-language statement the group’s Michigan chapter referred to news reports that Flint-area fire department stations distributing water were requiring identification. But even in places that aren’t requiring ID, illegal immigrants are scared to come out and get their potable water out of fear that they will be deported, the ADL stresses in its announcement. “We are calling on the National Guard to order all fire departments and other centers distributing supplies that no one be rejected.”

Like a good lapdog the Obama administration obliged. This week DHS issued a statement—in English and Spanish—guaranteeing that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would not conduct enforcement operations at or near locations distributing clean water in Flint or surrounding areas. “Moreover, DHS officials do not and will not pose as individuals providing water-related information or distributing clean water as part of any enforcement activities,” the statement assures. The agency’s priority is to support state and local government efforts to distribute clean water, the statement says, adding that DHS stands “ready to assist those in need.”

The new Flint water amnesty is part of a broader effort by the administration to seize all opportunities to assist illegal immigrants. Earlier in the year DHS rewarded undocumented aliens living in the Southern and Midwest flood region with a special “severe weather immigration relief.” This type of emergency amnesty is granted under a program reserved for “special situations” like natural catastrophes beyond human control, according to DHS. The U.S. government offers similar benefits for immigrants who claim they can’t return to their home country due to “civil unrest” or “severe environmental disasters.” Examples include tens of thousands of Hondurans and Nicaraguans getting amnesty after a hurricane and tens of thousands of Haitians in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake.

Since they are obviously intent on not enforcing the immigration laws due to this, are they also refraining from collecting federal taxes to the rest of those living in/around Flint that are living there legally?

Lessee...illegals drank slightly poisoned water because they didn't want to be caught and convicted for their crimes. Too bad.

Now if only politicians would do the same

(It's probably still better than the water in Mexico.)

FBI Anti-Terrorism Website Up with Muslim Group Changes, Omission of Islamist Extremists
MARCH 01, 2016

A government anti-radicalization internet program set to be launched months ago is finally up and running with the changes demanded by Islamic activists that claimed the original version was biased against Muslims.

This is a story Judicial Watch has followed closely. Back in November JW reported that the Obama administration abruptly pulled the plug on a new Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) website aimed at preventing the radicalization of youth after Muslim and Arab rights groups protested that it was discriminatory and would lead to bullying, bias and religious profiling of students. The interactive website (“Don’t Be a Puppet”) was created by the U.S. government as a tool for the nation’s schools to prevent susceptible youth from getting recruited online by terrorists. The stated goal is to combat a growing epidemic of violent extremism by keeping youth from falling prey to online terrorists.

But when the website first went live in early November, 2015 the same Islamic groups that have strong-armed federal and local law enforcement agencies into purging ant-terrorism training material considered offensive to Muslims, expressed outrage. The Obama administration promptly caved in and changes were made. One of the groups, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, issued a victory statement saying the website improperly characterized Muslims as a suspect community with targeted focus and stereotypical depictions that could exasperate the problem by leading to bullying, bias and religious profiling. The group also fired off a follow-up letter, signed by other Muslim rights advocates, suggesting the FBI stay away from schools. They claimed the original “Don’t Be a Puppet” site created a “dangerous precedent of FBI overreach into sectors of our society that are best managed by experts, like teachers, curriculum developers, and other educators.”

A few days ago the revamped, Muslim activist-approved version of “Don’t Be a Puppet” quietly went up on the FBI’s website and it omits any reference to Islamist extremism or Islam. It does, however, list other types of extremism such as white supremacy extremists, environmental extremists, militia extremists, religious extremists and anarchist extremists. The website defines violent extremism as “encouraging, condoning, justifying or supporting the commission of a violent act to achieve political, ideological, religious, social or economic goals.” A section that addresses why people become violent extremists claims there’s no single reason to explain it “but it often happens when someone is trying to fill a deep personal need.” As examples it lists those who may feel alone or lack meaning and purpose in life, those who are emotionally upset after a stressful event and people who don’t feel valued or appreciated by society or think they have limited chances to succeed.

Another section says groups that commit acts of violent extremism can have very different beliefs and goals, an obvious effort to diversify the terrorist population and avoid singling out Islamists. “They are located in many countries around the world,” the website proclaims. Al Qaeda, Somalia-based Al Shabaab, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia and ISIS/ISIL are listed as international violent extremist groups. The website goes out of its way to explain that, although ISIL calls itself “Islamic State” it does “not represent mainstream Islam and the vast majority of Muslims are horrified by their actions.” U.S. groups with some of the most common domestic ideologies are identified as abortion extremists, animal rights, sovereign citizen extremists and white supremacists. Islamic extremists aren’t mentioned anywhere in the FBI’s revamped website.

This pathetic censorship is part of a broader effort by the government to appease Muslim rights groups, which have proven to wield tremendous power in the Obama administration. This is especially true of the terrorist front organization Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which also flexed its muscle in this matter. It was CAIR that got the FBI to purge anti-terrorism material determined to be offensive to Muslims. Judicial Watch uncovered that scandal a few years ago and obtained hundreds of pages of FBI documents with details of the arrangement. JW also published a special in-depth report on the subject. C

AIR and its allies also got several police departments in President Obama’s home state of Illinois to cancel essential counterterrorism courses over accusations that the instructor was anti-Muslim. The course was called “Islamic Awareness as a Counter-Terrorist Strategy” and departments in Lombard, Elmhurst and Highland Park caved into CAIR’s demands.

Crack Dealer Freed Early Under Obama Plan Murders Woman, 2 Kids
MARCH 02, 2016

A convicted crack dealer who left prison early as part of the Obama administration’s mass release of federal inmates has been indicted by a grand jury for fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend and her two kids in Columbus, Ohio. The gory crime drew national attention because the children, ages 7 and 10, were murdered to eliminate them as witnesses in the brutal massacre of their 32-year-old mother.

This week a grand jury in Franklin County returned a 10-count, death-penalty indictment against the ex-con, 35-year-old Wendell Callahan, for the triple murders. Callahan broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and stabbed the three victims, according to a statement issued by Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announcing the indictment. The bloody crime scene was discovered by the woman’s current boyfriend, who subsequently engaged in a fight with Callahan before he fled. The indictment includes charges of aggravated murder with prior calculation and design and aggravated murder of victims under the age of 13. “There are multiple charges regarding the three victim deaths because there are different methods to commit the crime of murder and the Prosecutor’s Office typically charges all methods”, O’Brien stated. Callahan is in jail on $3 million bail and is scheduled to be arraigned later this week.

Callahan should have been in jail when the crimes occurred, but he was released four years early because federal sentencing guidelines for crack dealers got reduced. The change is part of President Obama’s effort to reform the nation’s justice system as a way of ending racial discrimination. The initiative was technically launched back in 2010 when the president signed a measure that for the first time in decades relaxed drug-crime sentences he claimed discriminated against poor and minority offenders. This severely weakened a decades-old law enacted during the infamous crack cocaine epidemic that ravaged urban communities nationwide in the 1980s. As part of the movement the U.S. Sentencing Commission lowered maximum sentences for drug offenders and made it retroactive, leading to the early release of thousands of violent thugs like Callahan.

In November the administration began releasing 6,000 drug convicts coined “non-violent” offenders whose sentences were too long under the old guidelines. News reports quickly surfaced contradicting the administration’s assessment that the newly released convicts were not violent. Among them was the leader of a multi-million dollar operation that smuggled drugs from Canada to Maine. Prosecutors refer to the 29-year-old con as a “drug kingpin” who was one of “America’s Most Wanted.” Shortly before the administration’s mass release of drug convicts, federal prosecutors warned that drug trafficking is inherently violent and therefore the phrase “non-violent drug offenders” is a misnomer. The nation’s prosecutors also cautioned that reducing prison sentences for drug offenders will weaken their ability to bring dangerous drug traffickers to justice.

As if it weren’t bad enough that the administration is rewarding thousands of criminals with get-out-of-jail cards, huge amounts of taxpayer dollars are being spent on programs to help them find housing and jobs. In the aftermath of the mass release of federal prisoners Judicial Watch reported on two “re-entry” programs to ease the transition from jail. One received $1.7 million and ordered public housing facilities not to reject tenants with criminal records. The other allocated $20 million to the Department of Labor (DOL) to help ex-cons find work and thus end the “cycle of poverty, criminality and incarceration.”

Arizona Attorney General Finds Money Trail Between Middle East and Mexican Smugglers
MARCH 04, 2016

Months after six Middle Eastern men who entered the U.S. illegally through Mexico were arrested in Arizona state authorities have uncovered an extensive money trail between the Middle East and Mexico. This includes more than a dozen wire transfers sent from the Middle East to known Mexican smugglers in at least two different regions of the Latin American nation, according to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

A report issued by the AG exposes the disturbing money trail between Mexico and terrorist nations in the Middle East as well as evidence of smuggling routes tying the region to America’s southern border. An excerpt of the AG’s findings was obtained by a local media outlet that published it this week. It states that the Mexican city of Tapachula, a known human smuggling hub located near the Guatemalan border in the state of Chiapas, was the top destination of Middle Eastern money transfers. Nogales, which is situated adjacent to the Arizona border, is the second destination, the investigation found. “Agents conducted a comprehensive geographic analysis of possible terrorist related transactions and/or money transfers involving human smuggling networks,” the state report says.

Officials launched the probe shortly after six men—one from Afghanistan, five from Pakistan—were arrested in Patagonia, a quaint ranch town that sits 20 miles north of Nogales, on November 17. Judicial Watch investigated the matter as part of an ongoing probe on the dire national security issues created by the famously porous southern border. Special Agent Kurt Remus in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Phoenix headquarters told JW that the agency’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces vetted and interviewed the six men and determined that there were “no obvious signs of terrorism” so they were returned to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody.

But a few days later, in a story reported exclusively by JW, five young Middle Eastern men were apprehended in the nearby Arizona town of Amado, which is located about 30 miles from the Mexican border. Two of the Middle Eastern men were carrying stainless steel cylinders in backpacks, law enforcement and other sources told JW, alarming Border Patrol officials enough to call the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for backup. Only three of the men’s names were entered in the Border Patrol’s E3 reporting system, which is used by the agency to track apprehensions, detention hearings and removals of illegal immigrants. E3 also collects and transmits biographic and biometric data including fingerprints for identification and verification of individuals encountered at the border. The other two men were listed as “unknown subjects,” which is unheard of, according to a JW federal law enforcement source. “In all my years I’ve never seen that before,” a veteran federal law enforcement agent told JW.

The money trail exposed by Arizona officials in the aftermath of these two major incidents is extremely troublesome. The AG’s Financial Crimes Task Force quickly identified suspicious wire transfers sent from Middle Eastern and African nations by people with Middle Eastern names to Mexico. In 2015, one human smuggler in Mexico received 70 money transfers from 69 senders, the task force found. “All of the 69 sender names appeared to be of Middle Eastern origin,” the AG writes in its report. This seems to confirm JW’s reporting in the last few years on the dangerous alliance between Mexican smugglers and Middle Eastern extremists who want to attack the U.S.

Last summer JW broke a story about a Mexican drug cartel operation that smuggles foreigners from countries with terrorist links into a small Texas rural town near El Paso. They use remote farm roads—rather than interstates—to elude the Border Patrol and other law enforcement barriers, according to sources on both sides of the Mexico-U.S. border. The foreigners are then transported to stash areas in Acala, a rural crossroads located around 54 miles from El Paso on a state road – Highway 20. In 2015 JW also reported that the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is operating camps near the U.S. border in areas known as Anapra and Puerto Palomas west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. That information came from high-level sources just months after JW exposed an ISIS plot orchestrated from Ciudad Juárez to attack the U.S. with car bombs or other vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED).

As a result of JW’s reporting Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army base in El Paso, increased security. The threat was imminent enough to place agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies on alert. As far back as 2014 JW reported that four ISIS terrorists were arrested by federal authorities and the Texas Department of Public Safety in McAllen and Pharr.

. . . Islamic activists . . . claimed the original version was biased against Muslims . . .although ISIL calls itself “Islamic State” it does “not represent mainstream Islam . . . .

Nope, and Hillary calls herself a Democrat, but she's not that keen on democracy AFAICT.

Anyhow Radical Islam may not be representative of mainstream Islam, but it looks and smells a whole lot like mainstream Islam.

Soooo...they want to take away everyone's guns because SOME OF US might start shooting, but we can't look at Moslems funny just because SOME OF THEM might start shooting.

The biggest Muslim threat this country has to worry about is OBAMA and his leftist administration.

I really don't understand their "logic"...it's like they live in their own little worlds...like none of the stuff you see on the state control leftist media box every night is NOT happening...

Un-friggin'-believeable

Time left until Obama leaves office:

321 days...06...hours...04 minutes...13 seconds

It can't come soon enough for this country...

Fed Probe Affirms U.S. is Overwhelmingly ISIS’s Main Target
MARCH 08, 2016

A few months after Judicial Watch reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has nearly 1,000 active probes involving the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) inside the United States, a congressional inquiry confirms that the U.S. is overwhelmingly the terrorist group’s main target. The federal investigation examined the 75 ISIS-linked terrorist plots against the west to date and found that one-third of them were aimed at the U.S. or its interests overseas.

The probe was conducted by the House Homeland Security Committee, which closely analyzed dozens of ISIS-linked attacks on the west that have been recorded so far. More than one-third were aimed at the U.S., according to the committee’s findings, which were released this month in a report titled “Terror Gone Viral.” This includes the San Bernardino, California attack that killed 14 civilians, an attempted attack in Garland, Texas and plots to detonate explosives at New York City landmarks, shoot tourists on Florida beaches, live-stream a shooting rampage at a college campus and detonate pipe bombs on Capitol Hill, among others. “The rise in ISIS-related incidents made 2015 the most active year for homegrown jihadist terrorism ever tracked in the United States,” the congressional report states.

The committee used government documents, reports from nongovernmental organizations and press articles to conduct its analysis of incidents involving suspects connected to ISIS through direct communication, pledges of allegiance or ideological inspiration. The plots—some executed and others disrupted—were all planned to be carried out as violent terrorist acts. The west includes Europe, North America and Australia as well as its affiliates outside of the conflict zone in Syria and Iraq. In 2014 there were 19 ISIS-linked plots against the west, which means the figure more than doubled by 2015. That alarming growth rate in the number of ISIS plots surpassed the growth rate of Al Qaeda-linked terror targeting western countries, the report points out. ISIS also has a big success rate, with more than 40% of the total plots getting executed. This will likely influence the group’s emphasis on frequent attempts rather than fewer long term plots, according to the congressional probe.

“ISIS’ anti-Western attacks are getting deadlier,” the report reveals. “A total of 270 people have died in ISIS-linked terror plots against the West, and more than 550 have been wounded. The average number of fatalities in each attack has gone up significantly since 2014. In the second half of that year, an average of one person died in each successful attack, but in the first half of 2015, the average death toll rose to 11. By the end of 2015, anti-Western ISIS attacks averaged a death toll of 30 people per incident.” Things will likely get worse because ISIS has successfully “crowed-sourced” its terrorism agenda by inspiring independent followers to conduct most of its attacks, the audit concludes. The report refers to this as “franchise terror” that has lowered the cost of the group’s operations and increased the impact of the violence without having to invest in “trained jihadists.”

This congressional report comes on the heels of the disturbing revelation that the FBI has nearly 1,000 active investigations involving ISIS inside the U.S. Back in November dozens of law enforcement officials in Colorado disclosed the chilling information in an effort to kill President Obama’s plan to transfer terrorists held at the U.S. military prison in in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to facilities in their state. Forty-one of Colorado’s elected sheriffs fired off a letter to the commander-in-chief after the White House announced that two federal prisons in Florence (Supermax and the U.S. Penitentiary) along with a state complex near Canon City were reviewed by the Pentagon for the potential transfer. The outraged law enforcement officials say a civilian prison with an untold number of enemy combatant inmates would provide a very tempting target for anyone wishing to either free the detainees or make a political statement.

Iran fires 2 missiles marked with 'Israel must be wiped out'

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran test-launched two ballistic missiles Wednesday emblazoned with the phrase "Israel must be wiped out" in Hebrew, Iranian media reported, in a show of power by the Shiite nation as U.S. Vice President Joe Biden's visited Jerusalem.

The new missile firings were the latest in a series of tests in recent days, aimed at demonstrating that Iran will push ahead with its ballistic program after scaling backing its nuclear program under the deal reached last year with the U.S. and other world powers.

Israel, long an opponent of Iran, offered no comment on the test, though Biden issued a strong warning over any possible violation of the nuclear deal.
"A nuclear-armed Iran is an absolutely unacceptable threat to Israel, to the region and the United States. And I want to reiterate which I know people still doubt here. If in fact they break the deal, we will act," he said.

Biden's comments came after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who strongly opposed the nuclear deal.
The tests, however, don't violate the accord. The landmark deal, which led to Iran dramatically scaling back its nuclear program, does not include provisions against missile launches.

Also, when the nuclear accord came into effect on Jan. 16, the Security Council lifted most U.N. sanctions against Tehran including a ban it had imposed in 2010 on Iran testing missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads — a ban that likely would have covered some of the missile fired this week. To deal with the restrictions in the nuclear agreement, the councill adopted a resolution last July which among other measures "calls on" Iran not to carry out such tests.

At the United Nations, there is likely to be a debate about whether Iran is still required to abide by the ballistic missile test ban under council resolutions.
Iran says none of its missiles are designed to carry nuclear weapons and so the resolutions do not apply.

One Security Council diplomat said the tests don't violate the nuclear deal, but "there are obligations on Iran" that stem from the resolution and "they need to abide by those obligations." he said. Another diplomat acknowledged, "We're not mounting an argument that it's a binding obligation."

The two diplomats, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the tests, said the council still has to consider the reported launches and if verified determine whether it is a violation and if so what action to take.

Iran state TV trumpeted Wednesday's test as officials boasted that it demonstrated the country's might against longtime nemesis Israel.

Video aired on state TV showed the golden-hued Qadr H missiles being fired from a crevice between brown peaks identified as being in Iran's eastern Alborz mountain range. The rockets hit targets some 1,400 kilometers (870 miles) away off Iran's coast into the Sea of Oman, state media and Iran's semiofficial Fars news agency reported.

The U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet, which patrols that region, declined to comment on the test.

Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the head of the Revolutionary Guard's aerospace division, was quoted as saying the test was aimed at showing Israel that Iran could hit it. Israel is within 1,100 kilometers (660 miles) of Iranian territory.

"The 2,000-kilometer (1,240-mile) range of our missiles is to confront the Zionist regime," Hajizadeh said. "Israel is surrounded by Islamic countries and it will not last long in a war. It will collapse even before being hit by these missiles."

He stressed that Iran would not fire the missiles in anger or start a war with Israel.

"We will not be the ones who start a war, but we will not be taken by surprise, so we put our facilities somewhere that our enemies cannot destroy them so that we could continue in a long war," he said.

The Fars news agency reported the Hebrew inscription on the missiles.

Writing messages on bombs dates as far back as World War II. During Israel's 2006 war with Lebanon's Hezbollah militants, Israeli children were photographed writing messages on artillery shells in a community near the border. More recently, pictures emerged online of U.S. missiles bound for Islamic State group targets that had "From Paris with love" written on them, referring to last year's IS attacks in the French capital.

Iran's message for Israel seemed timed to coincide with Biden's stop in the country on his Mideast tour. Iran has threatened to destroy Israel in the past. Israel, which is believed to have the only nuclear arsenal in the Mideast, repeatedly has threatened to take military action against Iran's nuclear facilities.

Over the past days, Iran has launched a number of missile tests as part of military exercises. On Tuesday, the Revolutionary Guard said the tests included several missiles with ranges between 300 and 2,000 kilometers (185-1,250 miles), including the Shahab-1 and -2, the Qiam, with a range of 800 kilometers, and the Qadr.

A U.S. State Department spokesman on Tuesday said the U.S. was aware of reports of missile launches and, if the reports were true, would take "appropriate responses" at the U.N. or elsewhere.

Secretary of State John Kerry spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and "the secretary did raise his concerns today with Foreign Minister Zarif about these reports," State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters. He did not have additional details about the call.

The Qiam and Qadr, each capable of carrying payloads greater than 500 kilograms, fit the U.N. definition for missiles capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, said Jeremy Bennie, Middle East and Africa editor for IHS Jane's Defence Weekly.

The now-lifted 2010 ban covered missiles with a range of at least 300 kilometers (186 miles) and a payload capacity of at least 500 kilograms (1,102 pounds), under a definition by a U.N. panel of experts.

The nuclear accord was a victory for Iran's moderate president, Hassan Rouhani, over hard-liners who sharply opposed reining in the nuclear program. But since the deal was reached, hard-liners in the military have made several shows of strength.

In October, Iran successfully test-fired a new guided long-range ballistic surface-to-surface missile.

U.N. experts said the launch used ballistic missile technology banned by the Security Council. In January, the U.S. imposed new sanctions on individuals and entities linked to the missile program.

Iran also has fired rockets near U.S. warships and flown an unarmed drone over an American aircraft carrier in recent months.

In January, Iran seized 10 U.S. sailors in the Persian Gulf and held them for about 15 hours when their two riverine command boats headed from Kuwait to Bahrain ended up in Iranian territorial waters after the crews "misnavigated," the U.S. military said.
