Turkey Load question

Seen some Turkey Load 5 shot on sale and was curious about them since I don't hunt turkey.

What exactly does 5 shot mean?
How do they relate in load size compared to 00... bigger or smaller?
Are there any extra pellets in the shell such as smaller bird shot.

Want to know a bit more about them beforehand..... thx

Much, much smaller than 00 Buck.

The "5 shot" in the description of that turkey load refers to #5 Birdshot......

Most turkey loads are #4 shot, although the last turkey I ate was anchored with #6 shot, which is even smaller than the 5 shot you're asking about, so if you're asking if #5 will down a turkey, the answer is going to be yes.

Just for comparison, #6 is what I typically use to hunt squirrels and rabbits with.

Cool. Thx for the info on this guys.
Wanted to get it for shooting at the range if they were close to 00 size. But looks like their not and won't be able to use it.
I appreciate the info and chart for reference.
