Mossberg 185D restoration

I am working to restore my dad's 185D and have a few questions for the forum.

1) Need to replace the stock and want an original stock - the price of a new stock and having it inletted is cost prohibitive relative to the value of the gun....will a 185KA stock work for the 185d?

2). The barrel was cut off years ago to 18 1/2 inches. Would like to have it rethreaded for one of the original chokes if the diameter is still the same? Is this possible? If not could always get another barrel or just leave as is.

3. Missing the lever ball. Seems to be non-existent
